#8 Kamikaze – Smashed Hip (-MA)
#11 Bricks – Dead (RIP)
At the pre-game press conference, Coach Chainsaw had said he was apprehensive about the game because dwarves always slaughter the 'Saws, literally. Coach Celas also said he was apprehensive because he thought dwarves and orcs cancelled each other out, except that orcs were faster, stronger, and more agile.

After hearding the 'Saws were playing host to dwarves again, much to the disbelief of many fans, there was a buzz amongst town that another bloodfest was going to occur and it was hard to come across tickets. A large crowd turned up for the match hoping to see some orcs get diced.

Coach Chainsaw and his boys had other plans. Receiving the kick, they set about a slow play upfield knocking down any dwarves in their way. Whilst a couple of good efforts by the Starburst players almost squeezed the ball out of the pack, they were suffering for their endeavour and were down to 5 players by the time black orc Razor Ruddock plodded into the endzone late in the first half.

However, showing they were equally capable, Coach Celas had his boys play a very similar drive in the second half and soon it was the orc side who were short on players. However, the 'Saws had Vader, and he managed to sneak through the central melee and take down the ball carrier. Whilst there were not enough orcs to prevent the dwarves getting back to reclaim the ball, the damage was done and the away side were too spread out and too slow to effectively recover. An audacious pass fell short, Vader evaded a few players who were trying to pin him down, and thrower Scudamore scuttled away from the pack to collect it and throw it onto the star blitzer.

In the chaos, newcore black orc Bricks died in his first game. Kamikaze was also injured after the apothecary had failed to revive Bricks and was hence unavailable to look after the beleagured blitzer who will now be a yard slower.

The main entertainment of the match came on the sidelines as the two coaches duked it out over who was suffering the most and the worst injuries. Coach Celas eventually conceded when they had to get a dustpan and brush out to sweep up what was left of Bricks.

Hard fought game. Chainsaw is a nice coach who helped to test my theory about dwarves' inadequacy against orcs at high TR. Luck swayed back and forth and in the end, an equal amount for each as the orcs won the game, but lost a player on a failed apoth.

I recommend everyone give this coach a try. Even at tense times, he was entertaining.
