“well i acted a little childishly in this game.

i fouled to death the ST4 blitzer. wasn't just the once i tried, either; it took 4 attempts... and all because i was bored.

on the face of it, that sounds really poor (unless you are dreadclaw), but it wasn't just bored generally. my opponent was boring me.

when approached for a game, i rejected the offer of amazons because i didn't fancy pinballing them around without tackle. i was told that this was the lamest excuse he'd heard for ages, and that i'd probably say no to his orcs for another reason. now that isn't the friendliest of approaches i've ever had, but i said yes to the orcs anyway because i felt it would be a more interesting match.

how wrong i was. on connection, i said "hey" and "have fun". no reply. that seemed a little odd, rude to say the least. this in addition to being accused of having the lamest excuse for a game refusal......

the game continued with a complete silence until i was asked to hurry up one of my turns. i was a little slow, but i was thinking. he appears to be a good coach and had put me into a rather difficult situation that required a bit of thought. when i explained this i was greeted with a "well hurry up please"

i dont know about you, but i really like to enjoy this game for more than just the gameplay. i like the banter in-game, and i would like a little common courtesy.

i didn't get any, and after the first half i had had enough of it and figured i'd amuse myself. i fouled him dead.

i didn't foul first; took me till the second half to start. and i was friendly up to the point i was called a jerk. even after that i was prepared to go through the formalities of "gg" but didn't get the chance. he'd already disconnected.

oh well. not the worst hissy fit i've ever seen, and i suppose i wasn't the most childish opponent i've ever seen, but not the most agreeable match i've ever had.

i sincerely hope i caught wyrmtainter on an off day, as he seems like a very good coach, and it's a shame when good coaches get all high and mighty about themselves. i doubt i'll ever get the chance to be proved otherwise, but then that's not the end of the world either.

all i can say is i'm glad i finally managed to get him to say something, even if it was "jerk"”
