A tough tough game in the rain.
The Amazons started in offence and failed to pick up the ball from a short kick. A mass melee for the ball followed and eventually, the Amazons got the ball and made a score (needing 4+ with Catch reroll) in the end. However, Jessica Alba did not live to see her team take the lead with the apothecary failing. For the fourth game in a row, the Amazons have taken a RIP for the first casualty and within the first 4 turns of the match.... nasty stuff.
The Noses responded with a driving cage play that advanced all the way downfield, but they had one player badly hurt after being pushed out of the end zone.
Second half, I apply the defensive pressure after he injures one of my players with his opening blocks. I injure one back and knock out another as I push downfield. My opponent has to throw 8 squares (4+ with Pass RR) and then catch in the rain (3+ with Catch RR) so 75% chance followed by 89% chance so a 2 in 3 for a TD not bad, but not exceptional odds... but a very lucky 6+ intercept put paid to that.
Having pressured his players at both ends of the field, I had a Catcher in position to receive the ball and score to take a 2-1 lead.
Next kickoff is a Blitz! Wth an 11 to 10 player advantage, I push deep putting tackle zones on nearly every player. My opponent does a great recovery to grab the ball and swing it to the other side, but fails his GFI to put a player in front of his ball carrier. My opponent mentions this also in his match report, but really, it wouldn't have mattered anyway as I would have still been able to get a Guard player in there to give me a two dice blitz. And a 2 dice blitz it was. The ball went out of bounds and was tossed back to the middle of the line of scrimage. My AG4 blitzer picked up the ball (4+ with tackle zone and mud), dodged out and threw to catcher Mia Kirshner who once more was deep in cherry picking position. Amazons 3-1!
On the next drive, the Noses set up a cage on the right just behind the line of scrimmage, but their Str4 player who had racked up two casualties knocked himeslf out on a failed block (Skull + Skull/Pow).
The Amazons applied the pressure once more. The Noses swung to the left, then back to the right, before tripping trying to turn a short pass into a quick pass. If he had made the pass and run, it would have been difficult for me to catch him, but it was not to be. Once more I scooped up the ball and passed to Mia Kirshner once more who was in position to score.

A 4-1 scoreline. A lot of luck for me for sure. A Blitz was very helpful, as was my opponent failing a lot of 2+ GFIs and a couple of dodges.
Pushing deep with my AG4 Catcher paid off over and over again as she was in position to benefit each time I recovered the ball on defence.
However, would have happily lost the game if my apothecary had made the save instead.
Oh well. Best of luck to my opponent in the future. The Amazons struggle on after two permanent injuries in two games.

After I've gotten players through his defence, the only thing I had to do was to throw a pass and just run to that TD. Of course he rolls that darn 6 to intercept and of course he has a catcher just standing around waiting.
Being in trouble from start because of a blitz, I manage to turn the game, but when I need to place one single player to protect ballcarrier with a go-for-it, of course he stumbled to face the grass. Now my lonely ballcarrier was no match, and for some reason that darn catcher was standing around again.
Well, at it again. Being in trouble at one side of the field I turn to run for the other side to throw a pass to a totally free player. The only thing is that, to make a quick-pass, I need to go-for-it, and for the 5th time in the game the fucking idiot stumbles. I do not know what is so facinating about the grass but there must be something. Well, guess what. The catcher mentioned before was once again in a comfortable position. A quick-pass later, the score was 1-4.
I hate this game.
I know, I hadn't won anyway but I AM a terrible looser when it comes to BB. I do, however, feel that I must give my opponent an excuse due to my whiny mood. Sorry, pal.”
