#5 Axtolas of the Prowl – Dead (RIP)
I'd been dissapointed in not winning this match had it not been because of a nice opponent.

The game started out good for the Prophets as they KO 2 beastmen in the first turn. This was followed up by a run down the field and the TD seemed like no more than a formality. But soon I was struggling as dodging beastmen, 2d blocks my choice, and a MNG Saurus came from the sky.

I recovered the ball with a skink and once again the TD seemed certain - till I foolishly went for it and KO the ball carrying skink. I secure the area and decide not to RR a failed pick up - it's safe after all...
Till a beastman GFI twice, picks up the ball in a TZ and makes a long pass (in said TZ) to a CW who runs like [L].

I manage to gain the ball the again but not before I've suffered a BH skink, a KO skink and a KILLED SF Saurus (apoth fail).

I odn't dare stall with so few players and leave the Chaos 2 turns to score - which they fortunately fail to do with no RRs left.

2nd half.

After having performed VERY impressively in the first half the Mino decides to knock down and BH himself - the game crashes at this point and spoil a very nice replay. The luck o' meter is probably somewhere around 55-70 at this point but it doesn't really matter.

The lizards muster a solid defense which unfortunately crumbles as 1d blocks bring saurus on their backs and some would-be crowdpushes fail. The Prohpets make a last desperate attempt to win and get a 1d block on the ball carrier. The ball scatters into the crowd and brings it almost out of chaos' reach! Almost... A CW picks it up and makes a 4+/5+ pass to a beast who catches it and runs in for the score.

The Prophets are left with approximately 1 or 2 players too few for a 1-turn TD attempt.

I think I did well all things considered.

Very fun game vs a very cheerful opponent. Thanks for the game hark - re-match anytime!

This game was a tooth and nails fight to the last.

Boarman really pulled it out for me this game. The rest of those beastmen really taught those dirty skinks a lesson or two about "personal space".

I almost scored in the first half. Redfish caught me by surprise (not really by surprise since I saw they had it and just forgot) with Diving Tackle and stopped my only other chance to score. ugh. shame on me.

He had over 5 players out over the course of the 2nd half and it still took me most of the half to score. It's a testament to his outstanding defense.

The game was a real nail biter when I had to pick up the ball with Montgomery and pass to Azazello (who had a great game btw) for the draw. All with one RR. Sounds pretty easy, not counting all the blocks I had to make previous to that to free them up.

I was worried because this was my luckiest game yet. Dodging, picking up balls in TZs, passes and completions... all without the use of auto or team RRs. And that was just the 1st half.

Great game. Great coach. Play him if you get the chance!
