Winning runs and the fear factor
So, somehow I have managed to go on an unusual (well, for me, at least) run over the past few days.
16 games unbeaten
14 wins in a row
and most oddly
12 games without conceding a TD.
Now, while I'm obviously fairly pleased with how I've been playing, and also with the luck that is always involved in such runs, I'm more interested here in how this is affecting my game style.
The longer I go, the more cautious I am becoming. This is odd, as one might think that I would be full of confidence, as most things seem to be working lately, but I'm not: every move I dread the nuffle bite-back, where I'll rolls 1s all game and get beaten by someone like Russo. Horrible thought. :)
Anyway, just my random musings. How do the rest of you deal with winning runs? What does it do to your state of mind? I'm curious.
And now, after posting this blog, nuffle will inflict a run of 10 losses on me, no doubt.
