Summer pre-season Interviews by John Ruden (interviewer) who is interviewing Head Coach General “Big” Boris Stupoff & Star player Paul Pike (the only cat to have played every game in school history)
JR: You were the former coach of the Kislev Gryphon Legion, a professional team. How is coaching at an university different?
BS: My team is all animals. It’s a learning experience. I had coached a couple of bears before; but cats & dogs are different.
JR: What did you do in the pre-season to get ready for the summer campaign?
BS: We bought a blocking sled. No one here can block. I also have the professors and students randomly throwing rocks at the cats to teach them how to dodge.
JR: What kind of outcome are you looking for during the summer season?
BB: 3 Things = stay healthy, skill up & survive for the hunting season (fall). I’m always hoping to win it all, but if we are competitive I would call it a success because we are a young team.
JR: Paul what are your goals for the summer?
PP: To hide, run like the wind & score some touchdowns.
JR: How can the Slayers improve?
PP: Get the cats more involved in the passing game & release the hounds to tear some flesh!
