Scions of Neferata
A man was found wandering the streets of Altdorf with no memory of who he was or how he got there. The only clue was a chrystal ball containing the record of an interview, indicating he might be a representative of the Scribbl:
Interviewer: I'm here with the Scions founding members and co-captains Itekuyet and Ahmose. Ahmose, I'll start with you, what do you think of the competition this summer?
Ahmose: We’ll face several teams with great potential, but most of them have had a rough start much like ourselves. The few sides with positive win records have fewer games than the rest of the field and have little experience to draw on. Raw talent only goes so far. Its hard to make precise predictrations here but I believe we have a better chance to climb to the top than ever before.
Interviewer: Itekuyet, do you share your sisters optimism?
Itekuyet: To a degree. We have done significantly worse than anticipated since the teams founding, and in all honesty rumours have been circulating that our sponsors are considering pulling their support. This is our chance to prove we are worthy of our name. Being placed in the eight group out of ten is a disgrace I never thought we'd face, but that just means we have to work much harder to not disapppoint again. I won't make promises history shows we might not be able to keep, but the field is a lot more agreeable than in spring, and during autumn last year we had very little time to train before the season began. Of course, should we win and qualify for the SCRIBBL Climax we'll have to train harder than ever before given the competition we'll face, but lets take one thing at a time.
Interviewer: Any personal goals for this tournament?
Ahmose: We seem to have an advantage in the ball game against even our strongest opponents. Not everyone has a dedicated ball handler and few have any competent throwers. I might personally be looking at another trophy for passing.
Itekuyet: For a while I hoped to distinguish myself as a top scorer in the league. However, since meeting the denizens of the Tower my speed hasn't been what it was and it seems wise let my swifter cousins handle that particular duty. In the past we have had real trouble keeping our numbers up compared to the opposing team, and this is a problem I aim to remedy. My new training routine focuses on causing as many casualties as possible.
Interviewer: Exciting stuff, I'm sure our readers can't wait to see how the season develops. Now, how do I get out of these caverns?
Ahmose: I'm afraid we can't let you leave with that knowledge. Oh, stop fidgeting. We won't kill you, at least not if you cooperate. I just hope your recording device has been working properly. Now, look into my eyes...
