Defensive Setups
With Lulla
Dear readers of Scribbl,

my name is Luís Alonso Pérez, but everyone, and I say everyone knows me as Lulla, the greatest coach Estalia and the Old World has ever seen. Lately readers have asked me a lot about how to prevent last second scores against fast teams. I wonder why!

The following setups will show you how to do this, but remember: a sneaky rat or a fast skink will always have the chance to break through your lines. Kill these players before they have the chance to do it. There are also a couple of skills players should have, when facing these kind of opponents. The frontline should have movement based skills like Sidestep or even better Stand Firm. Try to go through that, silly rat! You have an awful smelling team? Get that disturbing presence on the line! Skinks seem to have sensitive noses, haha! A backline with Tackle, Diving Tackle, Prehensile Tails or Tentacles can also produce these crucial trips on the last few steps.

Here you see the basic setup, every team with 11 able bodied players can do this. It's best to have a backline where at least every second player has the tackle skill. See how the backline has positioned itself not directly on the line, this way they force an often crucial third dodge!

In my first article I already displayed the Ultima Jugada setup. This makes the backline dodges much easier, but good luck getting there, little speedster! The outer players should have the Guard skill, to make the initial pushes much harder. If you have players with a disturbing presence, this is also a very good lineup for you.

Against one turning threats that lack agility I like this setup, as it forces much harder dodges and a harder catch. Be careful though, skilled pushers and players with the Frenzy skill can make this tactic very dangerous!

This is a setup my team tried in a tournament in Lustria. Stunty Skinks are a problem for every defense, so the most important thing is to either force as many dodges as possible or make them harder with players that can tackle. You can see that the silly skink has to decide between going through a lot of players or around the tacklers, not an easy choice!

Author's Note:
Most of these are from the great '1000 Losses Playbook' by Wreckage. Everyone who is interested in BB Tactics should read it.

Until next time,
Lulla.
