Hello XXXL Fans,
with the First Great Waaagh! starting I thought it makes sense to take a look at one of the first big events of the XXXL. The Great Bribery! Probably the greatest so far! This is where all the Gold will go into!

Everyone remembers the first time being bribed or the first time bribing fondly. It was probably the first time you noticed that you were growing up to be an adult.
And they may not allowed to talk about it in public, but everyone knows that the Coaches of Blood Bowl love bribing!
Rumours are that XXXL teams try to lure Free Agent Star Players to play exclusively for their squads. The advantage is obvious. If they play for your team, they can't play for your opponent. It's possible to use Apoths on rostered Star Players and also possible to field more than two of those fantastic players.

But Coaches should be careful and wise, not desperate! It is possible to lose a lot of money during this process if several Coaches bid for the same player! Because failed bids are not paid back completely (the filchers will keep (1d6*10)% of your failed offers!).

Maybe it is smarter to save some money and go for one of the less popular players, or wait for a few games if some Star Players will lower their starting prize for negotiations. Because also Star Players need food and will lower their prize each matchday they don't play. While Free Agents in high demand will raise their prize. So maybe it is smarter to hire them before they get too expensive? Or maybe it would have been smarter to stay at home and do nothing? Soon we will find out!

Of course it is possible to invest the money instead to support the league. We wouldn't call it corruption in public, rather active lobbying. Start a brib.. offer at 60K to help this league running! After all some rules in XXXL could need an update or some tinkering, so all hopes to a "XXXL 2020 second season" playtested by GW! And Nuffle knows the league officials could need more than one new car.

And then you can still bid for the services of the secretive dealers in the Blackmarket. Last time I checked there was a standing queue of Goblins in front of the Warpstoners, everyone hoping to get their quick fix. But there are also many other options, all probably worth it. Unless you roll a 1 when activating them.

This season's Bribemaster will be der lange fuZ.
You can meet him in the league's discord channel and can send him your bribe offers via direct message after readying your team. Only readied teams may participate in the Great Bribery!
Bribemaster fuz will also filch any cards (Blackmarket or Corruption) for you, so not even the league officials know what you got there!

To keep everything smooth please use a clear format for your offers.
An example:
"I am bidding for the following:
Bid: 150,000 for Snatcher Pushbrush
Bid: 80,000 for Black Market Access
Bid: 80,000 for Corruption Event"

Also make sure to not offer more than your current treasury. The Coach in our example made three bids to a total of 310,000K.

The Bribemaster will publish the briberesults after the deadline. Please cooperate with your league officials for adjusting your teams accordingly (f.i. adding players to your roster after they unlocked them for you). Then you are ready to go to smash your opponents!
