Friendlies and Unregistered Teams

There were some trouble getting all friendlies done in time. The XXXL officials know that this had also to do with the lack of a proper deadline. Offering to set this deadline based on when all games will be played lead to a delay.
In future we will have always fixed deadlines announced.

*

We also grew larger than the actual first season offers spots:
This means we have now two unregistered Teams, loopyloo's Erratic Eccentric Entertainers and TommyB's Well Kwolity.
Both teams will be able to play up to 3 friendlies during the regular season. Against each other, any other new joining unregistered team or any of the already existing "showcase teams". To give a simple overview:

Registered Teams These squads are taking part in the upcoming season's tournament and have a fixed schedule.
Unregistered Teams These squads are currently not taking part in the upcoming season's tournament, but can register for future events. Unregistered teams can not take part in Bribery phases but access Card decks with a Filcher. Unregistered teams may make legal deals with active Registered Teams. They may also play up to 3 friendlies parallel to the regular season to prepare.
**Please make sure to contact league officials if you are interested to join and create such a team.**
Showcase Teams These squads were build in the beginning of the XXXL's Alpha Beta Phase, they are not based on cloned "Races" and can not register for later tournaments. Showcase teams can not access Cards nor take part in Bribery phases. They may play friendlies though, between each other or currently unregistered teams.

*

Rumours are that the XXXL officials would be willed to host a parallel tournament to ease the waiting time if the amount of interested Unregistered Teams grows large enough.

Legalize It!

Surprisingly popular were legal trades between Coaches. Instead of stealing the best players of other teams, Coaches would begin to show a previously unknown kind of respect towards their colleagues. Negotiating legal deals between teams allowed better planning for participating Coaches and gave light to very disturbing team builds before the briberies ever started (we have seen everything now from 5 rostered regular Trolls to 5 rostered Fans).
But like always when things begin to be fun something bad happens. The League Officials are about to update some rules, to prevent a too gamey approach with trading.

Following rule changes will come into effect starting after the first matchday period.

** A deadline will be set for legal trades. Any agreed trades will be finalised after this deadline. The deadline will be always one day before the Bribery deadline. Deadlines will be announced at the beginning of a matchday/end of a Bribery phase.
This is mainly to easy the workflow for league officials. Make sure to negotiate your deals in general or pms, and use the #legal trade channel mainly to announce agreed terms.

** If a trade has been agreed on without any moneytransfer included (for instance, player for player) the league will take 20% of the player's values from the acquiring teams' treasuries. If a team acquires a Fan the league will take 20% of the fan's upcoming total payment.

** Positionals that were sold or traded legally can only be purchased again during the next matchday's team management phase.
This is mainly to prevent teams from starting an endless profit-orientated business of buying positionals and reselling them to a higher prize.

** Readied teams are entering the bribery phase and can no more take part in any legal hiring or trade activities.

The Great Bribery

Keep in mind that bribed players will join your team for the value of your bribe and not for the value of their starting price.

Regarding the illegal option of acquiring another team's players (stealing) there was also a rule change for the situation a Coach loses a player against his will:
**If a Coach decides to let a bribed player go, his team will receive a compensation based on the original value of the stolen player.
