It's an intriguing match up Antonio. Here we have Championship contenders, the Chargers, up against Rochefort Rage. Rage are coming in to this matchup on the back of 3 straight defeats and find themselves bottom of the table but that doesn't tell the whole story.

The Goldsmiths done a number on them in the first game but the last two, firstly the Barracudas and then the Paladins, were pretty close affairs and on another night could have seen Rochefort picking up wins.

I'm not so sure, after all the table doesn't lie. "Rubbish Rochefort" is the chant on the terraces Wes, the only thing Raging in Rochefort are the fans! But all is not lost as we'll see when we analyse the game later on.

Looking forward to it but first up we are going over to Ted with the latest news on Rochefort Blitzer Anders Reid and an intriguing rumour about the upcoming Draft.

Rage fans have received some good news this week. Anders Reid has made a speedy recovery and should be ready for the trip to Bastonne.

The shattered collar bone looked to have him out for the season but the Apo's have done a great job and I guess hearing he could be replaced in the Off-Season has proven the extra motivation needed to get himself back to full fitness.

And speaking of the Off-Season Reids recovery could be in vain as speculation that he could be replaced in the upcoming Draft refuses to die down.

Word going around is that the Rage have been sending out scouts to have a look at this years Draft Prospects. As it stands and I very much doubt given their form that things will change, Rochefort will have the overall #1 pick in the Draft.

And I can reveal that one of the Rochefort backroom staff was overheard at the end of the Chargers game saying and I quote "We need to bring in Option 596.".

Now I dont think that they are looking at nearly 600 players and you would assume that if they are desperate for this mysterious college prospect and he is going to be 1st pick overall then Option 596 must be pretty special but as yet nobody has been able to crack this code.

Well that is interesting news Ted. The return of Reid will be great news to Rage fans. The Watchmen will need to.. watch out, Reid has a point to prove and a big performance from him could call time on their Play Off push.

Right, moving on. Antonio is ready to bring us the highlights from the Chargers and Rage game, Antonio it's all yours.

Opening Kick-Off, both teams are set. Chargers send the kick. Bang! It's a Blitz! The Chargers get the jump on the Rage, not the start they were looking for. "Shifty" Sodder making the catch.

But as you eluded to earlier Wes, the Rage are showing some improvements. Now what i like about this is, they don't panic.

The Defence comes to life. Working to the left they quickly recover allowing Alain Jamist to come with a Blitz of his own, knocking the ball free.

Up steps Steve Youngston, scoops up the ball, steps out of the pocket and fires the ball out to Robag wide right.

The Chargers try to rally but Robag evades the pressure and skips away for the TD. 1-0 to the Rage.

The Chargers then take control in this half and work downfield methodically for their first TD, the score 1-1 on the stroke of half time.

Skipping to midway through the Second Half and the Chargers have control in their own backfield, biding their time.

Again the Rage dont panic. Man to Man coverage, Reggie Ladeux spots a gap and goes for the sack. But as Coach Darkwing said post-match, but for that untimely slip, Reggie makes that tackle and they would have won.

After that missed tackle the Chargers advance and go on to score the winning Touchdown. Another defeat for Rochefort but some positive signs for sure and the return of Reid for the Watchmen game should make for a great showdown.

Overall I think we played well, certainly better than people predicted before the game. We got off to a great start with the quick recovery and early score. The Chargers made it very difficult for the entire game.

You nearly came away with the win but wasn't to be, do you think you deserved the win?

I honestly think if Reggie sticks that tackle we win the game. Did we deserve the win, maybe not but I think the defeat was harsh, a draw would have been a fair result.

Not the result we wanted but there's definitely some positives to take away from this one. We'll regroup, analyse the videos and get ready for the Watchmen.

I think Antonio the Chargers will be glad of that result. As we saw in the highlights it so easily could have gone the other way.

I have to agree there Wes. Rochefort played well throughout that game, all is not lost yet. The double-edge sword here though is that a win or two may see them relinquish up that #1 Draft Pick and Option 596, whoever that may be.

Sure does make for an interesting end to the season at both ends of the table.
