Starting a Franchise To create a team and register for the upcoming XXXL season, coaches can contact XXXL officials. Every new XXXL team starts with a budget of 1250K and needs to hire at least 11 regular players and up to one specialist to register for the XXXL. Specialists are additional XXXL staff members that also play on the pitch. While never gaining regular level ups, they come with their own unique set of abilities that can help to run a successful team. Registered teams can join official competition during a Pre-Season phase or at the start of a Black Lantern tournament (at the end of a regular season). It is possible to join a waiting list and replace teams during a season in case of a coach missing in action or a team getting lost in the woods. | General Nettiquette Plan for greatness but expect disaster. Coaches are expected to study the XXXL handbook and to be able to communicate with other coaches and admins via discord. While coaches in the XXXL are expected to scheme and cheat according to the XXXL’s handbook, they are also expected to adhere to common fumbbl league netiquette: attempt to be competitive, don’t be rude to other coaches, and play and chat in the spirit of camaraderie and sportsmanship. Don’t timeout your opponent but also don’t try to push over the 4 minute turn limit. Make sure that your matches are scheduled in timely fashion with respect for the deadlines and communicate with your admins if you know you won’t be able to schedule in time. |
Communication & Scheduling XXXL uses Discord to schedule games, announce updates and roll special rolls between games. Participating coaches vote at the beginning of the season on the regular length of a matchday. XXXL encourages coaches to announce their scheduled matchtimes for potential spectators and administrator assistance. | Regular Season: Teams must finish their regular team management until an announced deadline. Teams may start playing their games after an announced start time. A Great Bribery may be held between these two dates. This ensures that coaches have enough time to activate their looted cards and that admins can adjust team stats for the matchday. Games may not be played ahead of deadlines. Play-Offs: The team with higher TV at the end of the previous round must ready their team before their opponent. In case of same TV both coaches have to agree on when to ready their teams. Games may be played ahead of deadlines. |
