There have always been rumours about brutish Goblin tribes living on the hazardous edge of the disc in constant warfare against each other. Struggling to survive under harsh conditions, these gits began to grow a thicker skull and a more vicious attitude than regular Goblins.
In a recent development some of the tribes began to send out some of their warriors to make contact with the civilized societies living on the Headz and on the Tailz of the disc.
While it’s true that these Bruisers don’t really care for professional Blood Bowl, they brutal nature makes them ideal players and the XXXL has become lucrative enough to provide an opportunity to make loads of gold. Gold that helps to finance their ongoing warfare on the outer regions of the disc.
Goblin Bruisers come with the special trait T17 Foul. If a player with this skill fouls another player on the last turn of a game but doesn’t break the armour, it is allowed to re-roll the foul attempt after the match during the post game sequence.
Goblin Bruisers may be unlocked via Corruption card or be part of a XXL playermarket.
They will always leave a team at the end of a season or during a season reset and return to their tribe unless they get a gud fight. If a team keeps a Bruiser the player will attack a random team mate during pre-seaosn training and injure the player.

Snotlings used to be at the bottom of the food chain, being actzally fed to pet Squigs. This changed when Squig Tamers began to change the diet simply to smaller Squigs by keeping newborn ones in the same cell with the big ones. While this new system made the actual Squig breeding program a failure, it gave the now uncaged Snotlings a chance to prosper uncontrolled by their former masters and so they began to spawn a pandemic raise of population.
This lead to occasional mass migrations in which Snotlings swarm out and eventually commit mass suicide.
Snotlings can be unlocked via Corruption card. They will always leave a team at the end of a season or during a season reset.
Teams that won and roster the Halfling Cook may hire up to 11 additional Halflings as long as the cook stays in the team. If the cook leaves or passes away all remaining Halflings will leave the team.Teams that roster a Halfling Cook may opt to use these instead of Riotous Rookies for the same named inducement.
Halfling Cook Roll, voluntary before a match.
Cook Roll | Effect |
---|
1: Escape | A Goblin sneaked some snake venom into the Cook’s ingredients, the resulting porridge fills the Goblins with rage but intoxicates their Trolls. The cook and his fellow Halflings finish up the remaining porridge and beer, then use the opportunity to escape into freedom. |
2-5: Tasty Food | Tasty Food Nothing relevant happens but the Cook knows his job well. Everyone makes sure to finish their meal as if it was their last one. |
6: Elaborate Porridge | The refined cuisine of the Halfling Cook satisfies the team so much, that their opponents become jealous. Team gains the Halfling Thimble Cup trait (Chef inducement for the costs of 100K). |
Hobgoblins are too clumsy and dumb to gain advantage of any special cards, but their size advantage mkes them dangerous players.
Hobgoblins can be hired for the duration of a Corruption card event and will leave when a season ends.
Hobgoblins are not very smart players.
As such they suffer two special skills.
Sleepy The Hobgoblin may not move on their team's first turn of any drive (including a possible Blitz Event).
Slow Wit The Hobgoblin may only activate after all other team mates have finished their activations or movements. Team has to end a turn after finishing a Hobgoblin's activation.
Squigs roll their upcoming movement at the beginning of a matchday’s General team Management phase.
Squigs can be hired during the Westminster Invitational or unlocked via Corruption event. Squigs roll their movement before each match.
Warpstone Cultists can be hired during the annual Black Lantern Cup, the irregular Warpstone Rage Festival and due activated Corruption Card.
Warpstone Cultists remain with teams even after the end of the season.
Undead players can’t be bought but can join a team after being raised by a rostered Necromancer or card activation.
Regular Black-Market cards can’t be activated on undead players. Teams with a Necromancer gain access to a special deck of cards for undead players.
Teams with a Necromancer may opt to use Dust Goblins instead of Riotous Rookies for the inducement of the same name.
If a Necromancer dies, all of his raised players dissolve to dust after the match.
Undead players that lack a rostered Necromancer (for example due outside resurrection via Black Market Card) suffer Decay, can't develop any further skills and remain peaked players.
Plague Ridden
These monsters can only obtained during a season with the Warpstone Rage Festival. An unlucky Troll might mutate into a Beast of Nurgle and spread the plague to the rest of the league.
If a player with ST2 or less gets killed by a player with the skill Plague Ridden the player does not die; they have instead been infected with a virulent plague! After the match they reappear as new Bloaters to join the team that murdered them for free.
XXL Idolz

The best players of XXL tournaments will join the pool of players at playermarkets. These players might include new and obscure playertypes.
