Andy was a founding player of Gwarn, and an unsung hero. He spent most of his career holding the line while his flashier teammates took the glory, yet he never complained. When I look over the last 20 games he played for the club, he wasn't always the the stand out player, but in every TD he had a hand somwhere, whether it was in securing the ball on the ground, flicking off a pass, turning the ball over, or just helping to open up a team mate. While not a glory boy, he was a working class hero, and a terrace favourite, with fans identifying with an Elf who worked hard to improve his skills, despite pehaps lacking some of the Natural talent of those around him. He wasn't the best by birth, but by sheer hard work and everybody appreciated it.
Gwarn would like to wish Andy all the best in his retirement, and thank him for his long and diligent service to the team. He will be missed.
