Why? No one knows.
The only game Shreeft has ever deserved most valuable player was game 39, where he did not recieve MVP.
On turn #4 of the second half, Shrieking Bloodstorm were down 0-1 vs Stomp Mayhem; the orcs were rampaging all over the lizardmen, doing whatever they wanted, while the Saurus blocks simply couldn't, ever, break armour.
And then Shreeft finds himself adjacent to the ball carrier. And approximately 350 SPP worth of orc blitzers, black orc blockers, and orc linesmen. Tackle all over, Guard all over, and not a single standing Saurus anywhere near. So Shreeft blitzes the ball carrier, Pow! Pow/Push Pow/Push (str 2 vs str 9 = -3db), dodges away from all 4 tacklers, picks up the ball WHOOSH, and sprints to the end zone. One final orc manages to blitz Shreeft on the following turn, knocking the ball into the end zone; one Skink (on the LOS in the opposite Wide Zone) goes for it all the way so that Shreeft can stand up, blitz the orc down, and pick up the ball for the equalizing touchdown!
Shreeft, you finally deserve an MVP! Sadly, we still lost the game.
Interestingly, Shreeft has never recieved the MVP when he has recieved ANY other SPPs, nor has he ever scored more than once in a given match, nor has he ever successfully completed a pass and scored a touchdown in the same game.
