Ailbhe Éadrom Fíor was only young in the great chaos of the war. He appeared uninvited one day at Ruffians training. He was sent away, but he persisted, eventually being given a chance on the training ground. He did enough to earn a spot on the roster, playing his first game for free as a journeyman under the Anglicised form of his name before being signed to a contract and joining the squad permanently.
