When fans of rival colleges describe Fu Chow's team as spoiled, arrogant glory hounds, it's players like Liu Shi they have in mind. The son of a successful tradesman, he's been rich for his whole life, and fast for almost as long. As a boy, his youth team was investigated for the suspicion that they were bribing opposing players to keep them from tackling him. It turned out that he was just incredibly elusive. As though he wasn't already fast enough, he's known to wear a pair of enchanted elven cleats, which make him able to reach the end zone faster than any player in the league -- quickly enough, in fact, to ensure that he doesn't suffer the indignity of being touched by rivals.

The highest-scoring player in college football, he clinched the win in his regular-season debut against Weijin, grabbing a bouncing ball and running the length of the field in a single turn. It was one of the most remarkable plays in recorded Blood Bowl history. In his second game, he followed up the feat with another one-turn TD and a hat trick.

While Liu Shi is a formidable runner, his attitude toward practice is distinctly lax. Therefore, he doesn't have the ball-handling gifts of his teammate Laumiel Maoshi, and has been known to drop the ball on occasion. Hence the famous regional saying: "The Lion's arms and the Dragon's feet are unconquerable. The Lion's feet and the Dragon's arms are nothing." To Liu's credit, though, he has been working on his catching skills, at least to the extent that he deigns to work on anything.
