Bork was an unhappy youth, mocked mercilessly for his weight by the other apprentice's at the engineers guild where he was learning his trade. He was easily the thinnest and least rotund of all his peers and despaired of ever fitting in. One day, the worst of his bullies cornered him in a disused forge, wielding a large slice of Dwarf Bread, it looked like Bork's days were numbered.
In a flash, Bork leaped forward, shoulder barged his tormentor to the ground, grabbed the weaponised bakery product and hot footed it out of the forge, his bully utterly incapable of matching his speed.
Farek Guttman, Chief Engineer and part time manager of the local Bloodbowl team, saw this feat of unusual dexterity and immediately recruited Bork to the team. Bork was an immediate hit and in just twenty years he was playing in the big leagues, a positively meteoric rise by Dwarf standards.
