The vast majority of Chaos Blood Bowl players are worshippers of Khorne. For those knowledgeable in chaotic mythology, it comes as no surprise that Khorne is the chaos God most often represented on the Blood Bowl pitches as Khorne is also known as the Blood God. Khorne revels in the carnage of battle, and he cares only for followers that prove themselves by bloodshed. However, unknown to many Blood Bowl fans, Khorne is only one of the four major Gods of Chaos.

The four Chaos Gods are; Khorne, known as the God of Blood. Nurgle, God of Decay, and affectionately known amongst his followers as The Great Father. Slaanesh is know the Prince of Pleasure and last but not least Tzeentch, the God of Change.

The most common way to identify which Chaos God a Blood Bowl player is dedicated to, is to look at the mutations of that player, as these are gifts given by the Chaos Gods. Followers of Khrone will have mutations that enhance their prowess in battle, such as claws. Followers of Tzeentch will often be the most bizarre looking, having multiple limbs or even two heads. Followers of Nurgle will often be surrounded by swarms of flies that are drawn to the followers of the Great Fathers, as a result of his other gifts. Slaanesh, the Prince of Pleasure, also enhance his players, although in manners that would appear to be suited more towards plays off the pitch than on it. Suffice to say, Horny is a follower of Slaanesh, and his name has nothing to do with his horns.
