Since joining the side, Spikes quickly proved himself to have a real knack for being in the right place at the right time. His frequent visits to the endzone, for a blitzer at least, wowed the few Eagles fans who stayed with them during the lean times. Spikes fitted in to the side well, and became a key part of the side. He was widely expected to be a future captain of the side, but his forced retirement due to a torn shoulder as result of the endless blocks he threw, put pay to that idea. In retirement, he now owns and operates a small gym training future BB players. His name is proudly displayed on the Tunahide Wall of Fame.
