Wandering Feathers
Ages ago, after Anaerion the Defender cleared mighty Ulthuan of the vile Chaos daemons, the secret society of the Raven Heralds travelled throughout Ulthuan, guarding the highest peaks of the Annulii Mountains and tracing any still lingering beasts of Chaos attracted to or spawned by the slumbering magic veil of the Annulii. An army would then be sent to deal with the threat while the Heralds would silently disappear only to continue their unending duty elsewhere. Thus was the life of the Raven Heralds. Neither longing for glory nor lust for wealth drove them, there was only a deep loathing and hatred for the foul spawns of Chaos.

Then came the Sundering and the War of the Beard. The Elven race was to be divided forever. It is at this time that most people started to distrust the sinister and mysterious Raven Heralds and eventually their existence would be forgotten altogether. The Heralds gathered to discuss their future and concluded that there was no more need for them on their home island of Ulthuan. Desillusioned and embittered the Heralds left and explored the wide world and roamed the wild steppes and tundras of the most distant lands. Hunting game and gathering fruit were their means of survival. As an offering to Kurnous they wore bird feathers of the most magnificent kind and from then onwards they were to be known by ordinary folk as the Wandering Feathers.

After centuries of travel and exploration, fortune lead the Wandering Feathers to the lands now known as the Empire, where they were introduced to the most peculiar game known as Bloodbowl. Weary of so many years of travel, the Feathers decided to yet choose another purpose in life. Soon a new Bloodbowl team was born...
