Zaphyrs have their home in the dark city of Karond Kar, and play in their home field, the Black Thorn. Team was founded under the patronage of the Slave Merchants, although now the retired star Jorah Doomblade has bought the ownership of the team. They quickly registered to be part of the famous ELF tournaments, leaving a trail of pain and death on their path. They are famous to play anyone, everywhere, as long as there's enough gold and enough blood to satisfy their murderous desires.

And finally it happened. Zaphyrs won the XLIII E.L.F. Championship under the leadership of Bolgron SpiderHeart, the most awesome blitzer ever to play for the team, helped by Rhanerys Winterblade, the murderous witch, and with Norrath Blackwolf as the top scorer in history of the team.

Death of Bolgron would have supposed the end for most teams, but not for Zaphyrs. After the purge that followed, the team reborns and starts playing under Rhanerys leadership. The evil and murderous star gets badly injured, but still leads the team to the Championship in XLVI E.L.F. Future looks promising for Zaphyrs.

It had to happen one day. Rhanerys suffered so many wounds that she couldn't resist the foul of a mob of dwarves, and finally passed away. The best witch that ever graced a stadium was buried in the Dark Crypt under the Thorn Stadium, and Horkir Blackheart took the captancy of the team, ready to lead Zaphyrs to a new level of violence in the field.
