Journal of the Unnamed Necromancer Entry 1: I found refuge in a castle apparently abandoned for centuries - Castle Drachenfels. Upon entering I immediately felt the dark power emanating from the depths below. Entry 2: I have been practicing my dark arts for the past decades without interfering or taking part in the politics of the Empire. However, today my castle was invaded by a band of Dark Elves, intent on looting and plundering. In the defense of the castle, my favorite creation (Franklin Gallow) was killed. As a consequence, Castle Drachenfels will now take part in the global conflicts, and claim its rightful place as the Champion of Darkness and the leading proponent for the rights of the Undead. Dark magic is preceding at a feverish pace in the depths of the castle - no time to waste! Entry 3: The days and nights all seem the same to me in Drachenfels. The skies above the castle are always grey, but I'm usually too busy below ground in my laboratory to even notice. I received a parchment on the castle door at some point saying we had won the Kislev East Conference (Season 8), although what that means remains a mystery. Yet no time to ponder, the darkness below beckons, and I need to see what new creations are in store. There can be no end to the search for higher levels of necromantic strength, agility, and movement! Entry 4: Albion Conference Season IX, we came in 7th place. Clearly my Necromantic talent was not as focused as it should have been, as my undead players can beat any team on any given day (given the right circumstances - meaning lots of POWS for me and lots of SNAKES for them. Clearly that is all that is preventing us from dominating the hills around the castle, the nearby farm lands, and the closest mountain. I guess that will do for now.?.) Entry 5: Finished in 4th place in the Albion Conference Season X (2/2/1). The farm lands and hills around the castle are now in our firm control. From the Reikwald Forest to the South, up to the Weissbruck Canal, my cold grip of death can be felt everywhere. My attempt to sieze Altdorf was so close I could taste it, yet the battle was lost and heavy casualties will keep me in the laboratory for much of the coming Fall. Entry 6: Finished in 3rd place in the Albion Conference Season XI (3/0/2), qualifying for the tournament. The southern half of Altdorf (south of the river Reik) is now under my control! Entry 7: Won the first two rounds, making it to the finals of the tournament for Season XI. [The second round match was against the same Dark Elves who invaded the Castle (Entry 2) long ago, setting me upon this path of destruction] As the victories piled up, the momentum of my Necromantic Legions could not be denied, as we swept all in our path. To become the OWCC XI Champion. My dark magic can now become the new culture, as the moon shines down to herald in a new period in the realm. The time of man (dwarf/elf/...) is coming to an end, and the time of the Necromancer has begun. You could say it was total domination, if you were so inclined ... and YOU WOULD BE CORRECT!
