Cult of Monroe
Deep in the forests of Southern Lustria, a scouting party of fierce Amazonian warriors come across a previously undiscovered temple.
The group move in fearlessly, despite knowing the risks; traps left by the ancient Slann and wild creatures who might call such places home. They move deeper into the temple, heading downwards into the dark.

Suddenly, a flicker of light freezes the Amazons. They move tentatively to the source of the light. A rectangular box with a large light flickering in the middle. It is making a crackling sound and grey and white lines move from the bottom to the top.

Xenosa, the leader, moves towards the box and taps it with her stick....
I want to be loved by you, just you,
And nobody else but you,
I want to be loved by you, alone!
Boop-boop-a-doop!
The screen clears up, and beautiful figure replaces the lines. The group immediately drop to their hands and knees, heads bowed. They know this voluptuous figure must be a Goddess.

Thus the Cult of Monroe was born, and shortly after the elders agreed the best way to honour their deity was to get on the big screen. This led to Blood Bowl - the greatest spectator sport in all of the world. And what better place to play than the SWL - the greatest league in all of the world.
The team took on names of Monroe characters, and wear white to honour their Goddess on the pitch.


Seasons
SWL LXVII: Not enough penetration from the ladies, too many draws led to a pretty average mid table finish. Some how gained promotion. Congratulations to Cherie for winning the Bronze Heart

SWL LXVIII: The cult had a once in a lifetime (probably) season. Nuffle saw to it that they had the dice when they needed it. In a potential mismatch verses Choas Dwarfs, Nuffle made them MIA. The powers that be handed the victory to the Cult, who were lined up on the field awaiting pain, injury and probably death. In the final game, Nuffle bestowed upon the Zons Dwarfish armour that was completely impenetrable, leaving the Horrors of Skye little hope of penetrating the Cults defense.

SWL LXVIII Prem Playoff : The Cult were unable to penetrate the Thunderbeards defense and miss out on a chance to play with the elite in the Premiership.

SWL LXIV: Finished a respectable 3rd in a very strong group. Final record 4/0/3. The cult need to learn to beat the ol' bashers to stand any chance of making prem. MORE GUARD!

In a shock move, Coach Wozzaa decided to release the Cult from SWL. Their crowning glory was Vicky Parker making the SWL All Star Team (ahead of any of ramchops norse). An amazing end to a short, but awesome SWL career.

The SWL collapsed one season after the Cult left. Were they involved somehow.? Did they smuggle gold from the Southern Wastes back to Lustria?

After the collapse of SWL and the Cult's mysterious disappearance, they reappeared on the Isle of Misfits.
Key Players

Vicky Parker: Vicky started her career as a linewoman, but soon developed into a real baller. She is the Cult's Quarter Back, Running Back and all round ball player. She made the SWL All Star team in season 69.

Amanda Dell: This linewoman likes to get down and dirty. The teams record holder for all strength tests, Amanda is the much needed brawn for the Cult.

Cherie: The unsung hero of the Cult, Cherie is a real work horse, earning her a bronze heart during the Cult's spell in SWL.
