THE CRIMSON HAND ACCORD

It was never entirely clear how, or why, the travellers crossed the Shifting Sands into the Land of the Dead. Yet somehow they had not only arrived in Numas, but they had seemingly been welcomed in, settled and thrived. Now Human and Undead live together in a near perfect symbiotic alliance.

Legend has it the truce was formally sealed with what they call the "Crimson Hand Accord". With sliced palm the Scythans offered a bloodied hand to be grasped in return by ivory fingers. The union of blood and bone was complete!

Life, and death, inside the walls continue to flourish; Co-operative farms working the scarce fertile land, human hand tending to the Numasi temples, huge Tomb Guardians standing watch over their fragile fleshy colleagues.

It was the formation of the Hands Across River Mortis outreach programme that came up with the idea of a Blood Bowl team. Numas has proven that death was no barrier, and nothing to be feared by the living. It was HARMs duty to spread that message further!
