Necropolis Priest Kings
Retired [L] Tomb Kings

The Necropolis Priest Kings came together to prove the power of the ancient dead to the world again. Once upon a time Khemri teams were roundly feared for their damaging potential, but recent incarnations have generally proved lacking in the fear department. The Priest Kings hope to change that when they resume their ancient role of lords of the pitch.

In their first outing, the Priest Kings lived up to their hopes in winning the NWFL Minors Rookie Riot (part one and part two) usually by playing a punishing ground game and an even fiercer defense. With a +9 casualty differential over their first six games, they are well on their way toward being feared. Only in the final game against Trantio Marble did a team finally manage to out-butalize the Priest Kings, yet even then the Priest Kings managed to eek out a win in overtime, thanks to the hardiness of their players and the depth of their bench.

When Season VI started, the Priest Kings opened strong. Beginning with a string of 3 victories in the NWFL Pre-Season VI, they ended up in 3rd place after losing their final game to the Nocturne Falls Honey Badgers. The first half of NWFL Season VI was definitely successful for the Priest Kings, but nowhere nearly as dominant as they hoped going 3-3-1. Suffering key losses amongst the tomb guardians in the second half of NWFL Season VI left them 4-1-2, for a season total of 7-4-3, which placed them 3rd overall in the AFC. This was good enough to get the Priest Kings a wildcard slot in the NWFL Season VI Playoffs. With luck on their side, they managed to win the Alpha Conference and progress to the Superior Bowl, where they lost 2-1 in overtime to the Snarkville Smurfs.

Season VII started with the Priest Kings struggling somewhat. After being forced to cut several longstanding players and staff to make it under the salary cap, they started slow in the NWFL Season VII Preseason, going 2-1-1. When the regular season started, the Priest Kings still could not shake off their malaise, going 3-1-3 in the first half of NWFL Season VII and 1-4-2 in the second half of NWFL Season VII.

The NWFL Season VIII Preseason preseason went very poorly, with the Priest Kings going 1-0-3, finally securing a win in the last game. Key playmaking failures have hurt the team badly and the key loss of Tomb Guardian Versas-Khan didn't help. Despite the early set backs, the Priest Kings made a decent showing in the first half of NWFL Season VIII, going 3-2-2 (losing twice to pro elf teams). In the second half of NWFL Season VIII they started strong but faded quickly, with a 2-1-4 record.

Season IX started brutally for the Priest Kings with several key deaths in the NWFL Season IX Preseason. Even so they managed a 2-0-2 record. In the first half of NWFL Season IX the priest kings had many opportunities but couldn't close several games, resulting in ties or losses, going 1-4-2. Despite their best efforts to end the season on a positive note (with more wins than losses) the Priest Kings couldn't pull it together going 2-2-3 in the second half of NWFL Season IX.
