 (WTP) - Woodie Training Program The Assignment: Follow the rules on defense. Build that wall! Match 1: We break Rule #1 right away, and spend a re-roll by accident, before Turn 6. We don't deserve a critique, however.. we form the wall pretty well, but don't need it for long, because we get a chance to steal the ball and score. New opponent makes a few mistakes. Victory. Strip Ball skill chosen. Match 2: Victory. Another relatively new opponent. We roll +ST on second wardancer. Match 3: Wall works great. Great chances to win, but humans get amazing cas dice to compliment our unlucky hoard of 1's rolled. Loss. Our +ST wardancer fouled to death. Game 4: Wall works great, with more great chances to win, but just too much fail rolled to avoid a draw. We roll great Mighty Blow on main wardancer. Buy a second wardancer. Game 5: Easy win on paper, but an AMAZING display of what Nuffle can do to any AV7 team if he wants to, no matter who the opponent is. We get 50 chances to win, but almost everyone gets killed. Loss, and team retired. Thus the end of an unfortunate elf team that did an OK job of demonstrating what opportunities the wall will present, and just how unlucky elves can be with 2+ re-roll failures and injuries. Serves us right for breaking Rule #1 right away! Change just a single important 1 that was rolled in each game into a 2 instead, and this team could have easily been 5-0-0 with the opportunities we had in each game. Stupid elves. |
