Aethyric Humours
P [L] Elemental - Air (CIBBL)

Nickname: Humours
Location: The Ether
Stadium: On tour...
Surface: Hard and unforgiving

Colours: Mainly colourless
Sponsor: University of H'ul
Rivals: tbc
Many years ago, wizards, sorcerers and druids played Blood Bowl but games quickly degenerated into battles of magic with little regard for the rules (or result) of the game. Subsequently all sorcerers were banned from stepping onto the hallowed grounds of a Blood Bowl pitch. This meant that for years wizards only taste of Blood Bowl action was the illegal, though still fairly common, casting of all manner of spells from the side-lines; manipulating the weather, turning players in to toads etc. They quickly tired of acting as mere mercenaries for hire and searched for a way to get back to being more directly involved.

After many years of arcane research the long lost art of elemental summoning was rediscovered. The wizards would play Blood Bowl by proxy! They were not breaking the rules put in place to ban them - the wizards would never step foot on the pitch! There was also the added bonus that they would no longer need to risk their own lives on the pitch as they once did.

~~~
In the dustiest corner of the most obscure of the colleges of magic, the University of H'ul, a group of soon to be expelled apprentice wizards have banded together and formed a Blood Bowl team, the Aethyric Humours. What they lack in skill they tend not to make up for in effort; They are too often out the night before a game in the local taverns. Still, at least they tend to show up, well most of them. Although the team tends to be short a few players and some minor local breezes have to be co-opted into the team to make up the numbers.
How long will these student sorcerers manage to keep their CIBBL franchise going? How did they even get one in the first place?* How many changing rooms will be flooded or set on fire or flooded and inexplicably also set on fire? What's certain is they won't do very well.
*Rumours abound of a high ranked uncle in the CIBBL leadership.
Y11 Summer Summary: Humours take the 0110 The Trivialised league with another undefeated streak! Currently 9 games undefeated.
Y11 Spring Summary: Humours take the Far East Conference 1 going undefeated!
Y10 Summer Summary: CIBBL 10th Anniversary Ninja Warriors Division WINNERS! The Humours shrugged off recent poor performance by stringing together some wins and winning a very hard fought division.
Y9 Spring Summary: A very unlucky loss against the Invincibles meant that winning an already tough group was even tougher than it might have been. Still after a good win against the Dreki the Humours went into the last round knowing a win would secure them the title. Unfortunately it never looked like happening and the Black Flags went through them like the Dreki go through Captains. The first game of summer will be tough with 3 important players still to recover...
Y8, complete! The Aethyric Humours rise to 36th in the rankings!
Y8, Beatdown! The Tempelhof Wolves dish out an absolute hiding to the Humours. The Humours spent a lot of time actually hiding...
Y8, Winning Streak The Aethyric Humours are going for their 10th win in a row! Will they be able to get past the highly fancied Tempelhof Wolves (11-2-5)?
Y8, Autumn Rankings The Aethyric Humours rise to 45th in the rankings!
Y8, Summer - Sanctioned Wizards Syndicate Invitational - WINNERS The Aethyric Humours frogify their way to a perfect tournament with a large helping of magical luck.
Y8 Summer Pre Tournament: The Aethyric Humours will be playing in the upcoming Sanctioned Wizards Syndicate Invitational. News is that they've tentatively accepted the invitation to play against some of the best wizards out there. Coach Snorkel Wanted is said to be confused as to why the Humours have been included in such august company but has noticed the CIBBL summer structure seems very much based on 6 team leagues and the Humours are definitely a 6th team type of outfit...
The Humours will be targeting a win against the Crystal Mere Mystics to make up for their previous defeat in Autumn of Y7.
*** Did you know...
Paul Weakfire - Paul was kidnapped from the ethereal plane to make up the numbers for the Humours second ever game. Upon seeing the size of the minotaurs he was being asked to take on he committed suicide in the opening minutes.
Did you know that an air elemental can be turned into a zombie? No? Neither did the head coach of the Humours until Khamsin's non existent body was reanimated to play for the Scrapheap Scrappers in their first ever game.
