Stirpoint Butchers
During the time that the Rockeaters occupied Stirpoint, growing ever fatter on the tolls they extorted from those crossing by ferry, opulent meals rarely enjoyed by ogres were prepared by the clan's Butchers. These Butchers were said to not only be among the most skillful ogres to wield a cleaver, but also among the most vicious. After their narrow escape from the Stirland forces, these gourmands found themselves missing the variety of meats that they had enjoyed. Putting their (limited) brains together, they realized that Blood Bowl teams played against a huge number of different, probably delicious, opponents and decided to cobble together a team in hopes of getting their hands on some leftover viscera.

Krugg Silvergut, being extremely bright for an ogre, sent away a caravan of treasure before the Stirland attack. However, even with his riches he couldn't procure exotic enough dishes to satisfy his cravings, so he agreed to finance the team in exchange for the choicest cuts. Any potential winnings from their matches didn't do anything much to dissuade him, either.

The team's gnoblar runts are tasked with patrolling the field and retrieving any bodies or body parts to stock the team's larder. In order to avoid being consumed themselves, each gnoblar has been told they may not return empty-handed, which has led many to try every underhanded trick possible to guarantee success.

In general, the team's players don't care if they win or lose so long as they collect some tasty morsels. However, Krugg promised to throw a feast as lavish as Greasus Goldtooth's birthday lunch at the end of the season if they can maintain a winning record, which might be enough to encourage the team to take a break from crushing and fouling the opponent long enough to at least try to pick up the ball.

Trophy Case:
Seasons
Y8, Spring

Finished second in the Youngbloods XXX tournament, behind Lump an' da Snots, who employed the S.N.O.T. system masterfully to hand the team their only loss.

Y8, Summer

Had a solid season, finishing 2/2/1 and taking third place overall. Our only loss was against season winners Drakwald Harbingers.

Y8, Autumn

Had an excellent Autumn, allowing only two opponent touchdowns for the entire season. Unfortunately, those two touchdowns both came in losses: one against our bitter rivals, Lump an' da Snots, who pelted us with 24 bombs, and the other against the witch hunters of Sigmar's Immolators, who killed rising ogre Wurf the Hungry. Our 5/0/2 record was good enough to grab second place in our division, and the Butchers ended Autumn with 8 wins overall, only one behind legendary ogre team Saber Mountain Rattlers, who held the title of most CIBBL ogre wins.

Y9, Winter

Coming through with three wins, the team passed up the Sabre Mountain Rattlers to become the winningest ogre team in CIBBL history! Went 3/0/1, including playing their first game fully energized (no bonehead trait due to the 2020 switchover) and stole a win against the witch elves of Hyanda En' I' Kuruni Aran who kept tripping over their own shoelaces. Yes, management realizes there is no prestige for winter wins, but a win is a win, dammit!

Y9, Spring

After a string of second place finishes, the Butchers came out to play in Spring, winning the battle of the Dark Lands! Got off to a good start with a win against the Rot Mansion Couriers. The match was played in sweltering heat, which did not help the complexion of the musty Nurgle hordes, and many opted not to take the pitch. Tied game 2 when the Taster forgot that the ball needed to be run in for a TD on turn 16 (bonehead prevented the winning TD). Luckily the Butchers bounced back with a win in game 3, taking down the slippery hobgobs of the Wolf Lands Slavers. Unfortunately, the team was only allowed to play three games in Spring, as two of their opponents mysteriously vanished (reports of bloody jerseys being found in the Butchers' bologna sandwiches are completely unfounded).

Y9, Summer

While the Avengers-style team-up of the Butchers and LADS was scuttled at the last minute, Summer still looked to bring loads of excitement, as the Butchers were drafted to represent Blagga Gobspites Flying Circus. However, game 1 got off to a rocky start: those witch hunters, Sigmar's Immolators, blitzed the Butchers twice, successfully stealing the ball on the second after Angelica's sure feet gave out on a rush. However, Yum Yum (who had been gaining a bit of a reputation in the offseason) had a stellar match, killing two opponents and managing an amazing gnoblar toss that bounced off of 8 different players. The rest of the season didn't improve much - hypnotic gaze, blodgers everywhere, weak hits from the ogres, and Angelica fails all played into a dismal 1/1/4 finish to the season. It is uncertain if the ogres can even tell the difference between winning and losing, but the lack of kills (and no post-season buffet) has leant them a hungry look.

Y9, Autumn

Somehow, someway, the Butchers found themselves promoted to the Tin division, within spitting distance of the very top teams. Perhaps it was their hunger from Summer being spurred on by the sight of giant crabs running around, perhaps it was the thought of prestige and glory, but whatever it was the Butchers took no prisoners in opening match v. Queen Amphinome's Revenge, smashing their way to a 1-0 win. Playing the Mountains of Mourn Tyrants left the team bloodied (as most Ogre v. Ogre clashes are) but with a tie. Unfortunately, our old nemesis, the Venimous Ophidians, were waiting to strike in the next match and we were unable to contain those dastardly snakes. But amazingly, the team came through with a win v. the Coven of the Mirrored Hall, riding the star power of Icepelt Hammerblow to a 1-0 victory. Our game against Grasparossa saw a heroic push for the tie but also the demise of rising gnoblar Angelica, who died on a failed GFI, and in the last match we managed to prevail over the sharks of Predators of the Deep but at the cost of two ogres. Finished 4/2/1 (including one win for a concession), which was unfortunately only good enough for third place in a very competitive division. Still, the team was overjoyed that "Season Breakfast" as the season-ending feasts have come to be known as, would be implemented again.

At the close of Y9 the Butchers were made Silver Partners

Y10 Winter

I could have sworn we played some winter matches... no? None? Okay then! Selective amnesia is a helluva thing.

Y10 Spring

Managed not to lose a single match, going 2/3/0, but still only finished 3rd in the Dark Lands, as both our rivals the Wolf Lands Slavers and Qshork Mighty Drumz finished 3/1/1.

Y10 Summer

An exciting Summer saw the Butchers match up again against our arch-rivals Lump an da Snots, and what a match it was! The Butchers came in with only 3 ogres: Yum Yum, the Taster, and Qrak. While the LADS focused their early attention on hurting Yum Yum (unsuccessfully, though they did make him take the rest of the match off) the rest of the team stole their ball and ran off a score. Second half saw the team suffering PTSD, as Kaboom Murzak started chucking bombs left and right, and then a snotling came whinging through the air, knocking the ball from the Taster's hands. A missed pickup and Dazh had run away with the ball right from under the team's noses, which led to a tie.

Players
Team Captain: "Three Fingers" Grikk

Grikk got his nickname not because he lost three fingers, or collects fingers, or is partial to petty theft, but because when Krugg Silvergut sent his recruiter to invite Grikk to try out for the team he immediately bit off and swallowed three of the recruiter's fingers. Krugg was so impressed with his viciousness that he made him team captain on the spot, regardless of the fact that Grikk had never played even a minute of Blood Bowl in his life. Krugg's instinct was spot on, as Grikk scored a Triple X in his third match, and earned acknowledgment as one of the top players in Youngblood XXX. At the end of his first year he led the team in casualties, and after the demise of Garn Rashburn he continues to hold the team lead going into Y10.

Keegur Dustjaw

The closest thing the ogres have to a pastry chef, Keegur's addiction to sugar is well known amongst the rest of the clan.

Grogg

The closest thing ogres have to a sommelier, Grogg boasts the Rockeater Clan's most discerning palate. The Butchers hired him on both because they hope his sharp senses will help find their opponent's weaknesses and because he can brew a mean batch of dugout moonshine.

the Taster

Not much is known about the Taster, apart from the fact that she used to be Krugg's personal food taster. Rumors say that she "tasted" a bit too liberally of her master's stores and this is why she has been forced to play for him on the Blood Bowl pitch. However, after a few games the true reason became clear: she was especially gifted at handling the ball, something very few ogres can claim.

Yum Yum

Yum Yum was the head Butcher during the Rockeater occupation, and his name struck fear across the countryside due to the savage nature of his cooking. It's said that by the time the food was all prepared during one especially hectic feastday, not a single sous chef, dishwasher, server, or pastry chef that had started her shift could be located. However, all who ate that meal declared that the food was especially delicious, raising his renown. Killed a stilty runner on the Butcher's bitter rivals Lump an' da Snots in his first match.

Qrak Longtooth

A late addition to the team, Qrak was initially denied a place on the roster even though the Longtooth clan are known to be especially cunning ogres. The reason was his stench. While not Nurgle-level nasty, the other ogres agreed it was the next level down. After the team's disastrous performance against some beastmen, Krugg decided he needed more muscle and brought on Qrak (no other ogres who had initially tried out were still around - they all moved on with their lives. Qrak just couldn't get work anywhere else, and so was available on short notice). He quickly showed promise, learning the exotic skill "Block", which has made him the team's go-to blitzer.

The team also employs some gnoblar runts. The less said about them the better. However, a few signs have begun to appear in the crowd, tiny fans cheering for Saffron, Oregano, and Allspice - the gnoblar trifecta.

Past players:

Wurf the Hungry

Wurf was known amongst ogres to be a picky eater, which is why he was called "the Hungry". Where other ogres will eat a Bretonnian armor and all, Wurf preferred to remove the armor and even the shoes before feasting. Wurf was done in by a chainsaw blitz from star Herbert Hound, who had been hired by Sigmar's Immolators.

Garn Rashburn

Garn was notable for being the only player on the team who wasn't a Butcher. She was one of the Rockeater Ironguts who demanded to be on the team once she heard they were forming up to play. The rest agree that this is likely because she has the largest appetite of any member of the clan, regularly demanding more food after even the largest feasts, and is hoping to find more to eat on the Blood Bowl pitch. Rumors that some nefarious scheme led to her death due to overtaking Grikk in casualties caused are clearly unfounded and anyone promoting such will be taken to Grikk for a "talking to". Grikk's friendliness with Mountains of Mourn Tyrant legend Gnarth Yug-N'urth, the player who did in Garn, has nothing to do with anything, thank you!

Zabe Coldshanks

Zabe came to the Butchers from the labyrinthine caves and larders of the Rockeater clan. A master of "preserved" foods, Zabe hoped to use his offputtingly cold presence to make a mark on the pitch. After just a few matches, his knee seized up and he was asked to return from whence he came to make way for new blood.

Trogg Guthammer

Taking over for his brother, Dogg, who played only one match for the Butchers before being maimed by a shark, Trogg is still looking to find his niche within the team. For now he has been adept at surviving claw hits, which is something. Unfortunately, like his brother before him, his armor was finally shorn in the second match against the sharks of Predators of the Deep. He was allowed to play one more match, but his armor was broken again, leading to the team asking him to retire.

Grey Shadepelt

A trapper by trade, Shadepelt was drafted onto the Butchers to help corral some of the more agile opponents. Killed by Jaxson "Fang" Eldin of Dawi Dum Uzgul.
