History of the Manticores Grit and Unorthodox Tactics: Muckenhof Era Coached by the proud Vlade Bukowski, the Manticores embraced a gritty philosophy: "foul first, then win." Bukowski handpicked Danny "Chief" Vitale as captain, renowned for his leadership and unorthodox tactics. The passionate fans in Muckenhof reveled in every foul, but tragedy struck when a devastating raid left the settlement impoverished and unable to support the team. A New Era Begins: Baron Martinus' Vision Seizing an opportunity, Baron Martinus van Buuren, the noble of the Wasteland, acquired the team, vowing to bring honor to Aarnau. Vlade Bukowski was dismissed, and the team underwent significant changes. Marcus van Buren, Lord Martinus' grandson, earned a spot on the team, while Peter van Buuren, his son, assumed the role of head coach. Their mission was clear—to play with honor, distancing themselves from the previous "dirty" tactics. Unleashing Their Glory: Super Bowl Triumph and Beyond In a stunning turn of events, the Manticores clinched Super Bowl victory in Season 12, triumphing over the Skadi Eagles. To symbolize their newfound elegance, Martinus van Buuren adorned the logo and jerseys with gold accents. The majestic Van Buuren Dome of Gold became a symbol of their unwavering commitment to excellence. Further strengthening the team, they acquired the legendary quarterback, Blake 'The Boss' Bortles, solidifying their position as a formidable force in the league. New Management After the stunning departure of Hovring as head coach, the league was forced in a cruel twist of fate to go back to a former head coach, a coach who's infamy still echoed through the league's graveyards. Out of the dank and putrid Doomkeep, Asteflix returned, somehow. Known for his cruelty and lust for trades, he immediately began restructuring the team and only time will tell if the players will ever see the warm sun again ... Evil Empire Immediately after joining the league the Manticores took to task doing many trades, getting rid of flea rotten meat that other teams bought dollars over fist. Many of the old Manticores players then immediately died upon joining the other teams, clearing a path for the Manticores to reach the playoffs. Cheating, lies and deception tore a path through the DLE and lead the Manticores to win Superbowl XV.
