There once was a place called Murktown. In it, aside from the litter, the broken needles, the shattered dreams of an almost forgotten race, stood one rat - Hiirrthk the Mighty. He was a cunning specimen, even for rats. He liked his sport, but more than that he realised that sport could lift the spirits of his oft trampled people. A plan formed in his mind - to form a Bloodbowl team that would provide a future for some, and a distraction for others. And so the Murktown Cowboys were formed. Hiirrthk was too old to play and instead managed the team, whilst his favourite son, also Hiiirrthk, took lead role as the team blitzer. Despite having an indifferent record, and a relatively poor amount of travelling fans, the Cowboys achieve exactly what Hiirrthk the Mighty envisioned - their games are full of touch downs (for both sides), casualties and fouling. Back in Murktown, back where life is dull, back where living to thirty is a curse not a blessing, the Cowboys provide some relief for their family members and are honoured as heroes. |
