TEAM BIO

Remas Eagles is a professional Blood Bowl team based in Remas. They compete in Draft League Europe (DLE), currently playing in Southern division of Karl Franz Conference. Remas is one of the four foundation teams in DLE. Their home stadium, Eagles Nest, is located atop a great hill close not far from the center of the city. Allegedly, there was a Blood Bowl ball in an eagle's nest, which is where both the team's and stadium's name originate from. The team is owned by Enrico Vendolo. A rich merchant, his financial support allows Eagles to play at their stadium without sponsor backing and hire even the most expensive players to the team.

Yet, in nine season they have played, they haven't played a single playoffs game. Despite this, the team has been lucrative business during their stay in DLE. Located in Tilea and right next to the Tilean sea, this doesn't stop them from attracting viewers. Not only merchants participate in games on their free time, for even common folk book ships for a holiday to the beautiful high elven constructed harbors, all just to top it with some live Blood Bowl action in Remas. The working class of the city also tends to spend any extra they have for tickets on Eagles games whenever possible.

While the coasts are safely protected by mercenary based army in Remas, mercenaries present some able opportunities for corruption and bribery among the most hardcore betters, which is bound to entertain the fanatic Blood Bowl fans. Among the mercenaries, some choose the alternative path to play on the Blood Bowl field and it isn't unheard of to see some occupying roster slots in the team.

Coach Supa took over the team near the end of season 9. Big changes were made to restructure the team, which upset plenty of fans. Known as one of the most rebellious fanbases out there, buildings in the city were burned and everyone expects to see even more thrown rocks, pitch invasions and beheaded refs for many seasons to come. However, the board are looking forward to a long and successful partnership... for now.

Their biggest divisional rivals in the league are Verezzo Razorbacks, another Tilean team. Current coaches Supa and Jyrking of Doom have insulted each other rudely in different medias on multiple occasions and the players are bound to have an emotional game every time they're scheduled to meet.

HALL OF FAME

This list contains players that are considered to be club legends. There have been many notable players, although only four have made it to the Hall of Fame.

#1: Derek Carr https://fumbbl.com/p/player?player_id=12224369
Drafted for Season 1, Derek Carr is remembered fondly among Eagles fans and management, mainly for being more than capable of working as the leading Quarterback. He was also noted for his loyalty and leadership abilities. He was traded at the end of season 3 to Fort Solace Griffins. After very brief stint there, he played for one full season in Middenheim Classics, until he was traded back to Eagles during midseason of Season 5. However, this is when injuries ruined his career and he announced his retirement from the team at the same time as Dante Hightower. Arguably the greatest leader Eagles ever had, his retirement with Hightower was hard to come by both for fans and management. He is contributing with the Eagles coaching staff by holding the passing drills.

#2: Dante Hightower https://fumbbl.com/p/player?player_id=11808864
Dante Hightower leads Eagles in dealt casualties, having done 62 of them in 53 games played. It is one of the best all-time casualty records in DLE, and very likely nobody in Eagles is going to break that. Drafted 2nd overall for Season 2 draft, Dante Hightower was one of the pioneers for the near-mandatory "killer" role in DLE. He played his whole career with the Eagles, until his knee gave up during the 15th game of season 5 against Kislev Wolves. Hightower announced his retirement from Blood Bowl with the team captain Derek Carr. His contributions left an ever-lasting mark on the Eagles playbook and his loyalty shall not be forgotten among the management or fans. He's still an influencer with Eagles, taking over blocking drills as part of the coaching staff.

#3: T.Y. Hilton https://fumbbl.com/p/player?player_id=14006804
T.Y. leads Eagles in touchdowns scored, having scored 26 touchdowns in 40 games played for them. Originally drafted by Flashfurt Universe for Season 3 (where he won the Super Bowl), he also played for Nuln Gunners before being traded to Eagles for season 7. This is where Hilton hit his prime as a pure scorer while also reaching the legend status. Unfortunately for Eagles fans, this relationship lasted only for two and half seasons, as he was key target for Hargendorf Unicorns for a deep playoffs push. Midseason of Season 9 they made a move Eagles management couldn't resist, and Hilton was traded. At the time of writing this, Hilton is still playing for Unicorns.

#4 'The' Don Marino https://fumbbl.com/p/player?player_id=13725589
Don Marino arrived to Eagles after season 5, having played one season for Fort Solace Griffins to replace Derek Carr as the playmaking Quarterback. Thus started a new era for Eagles with revamped roster. Don Marino wasn't the reason Eagles struggled, although arguably he wasn't the big-time leader guy Derek Carr was. As an athlete however he is a living legend. Derek Carr might've been the better passer, but Marino wasn't a slouch either. What he had going for him was speed, which enabled improved running game on offence. He also had other useful skills to make him offer great utility for both sides of the pitch. Although sharing mutual love with the fans, his relationship with Eagles management crumbled after miserable Season 9. Trading for Hannibal Mekins, a quarterback with great potential was the final nail to the coffin and Morino demanded a trade. At the time of writing this, Don Morino has played for Middenheim Classics since Season 10.

TRADEBLOCK

Eagles are quite content with their current situation. The roster looks good on paper, but cap space might be necessary to clear. While anyone could be traded potentially, Eagles have put the following players on the tradeblock:

- Corey Levin
- Dan Skipper
- Kaarlo Anttinen
- Leonard 'BD' Williams

Corey Levin would go quite cheap, while Dan Skipper and Kaarlo Anttinen are probably not going away for anything lower than 2nd round pick in value. Williams is definitely the most valuable player on the tradeblock. Either killer blitzer could also technically go this midseason, although ideally the team isn't rostering a rookie blitzer by that point anymore.

Eagles are interested of improving their roster, most likely multiple Eagles players for one big asset, but could be other way around too. Moving up on the draft is also a sound plan (anything but the 1st round pick is for sale until season is over anyway).
