Zoats: a peaceful and intelligent race believed by many to be a legend. Tales of the Zoats have been passed down through generations by Wood Elf elders. However not much is known about the Zoats except for one undeniable fact - they LOVE using their name for puns. They believe it to be the pinnacle of comedy throughout all 13 kingdoms, to which many (Zoat) scholars would agree. Being a relatively unknown and mysterious tribe that mainly keeps to themselves, the Zoats feel a deep sorrow for all the other races that miss out on their amazing name puns. It was during the Annual Mourning Festival, where the Zoats gather and feel sorry for the other races that are not as funny as they are, that Zoaty McZoatface had an amazing idea. He would lead a band of the funniest Zoats to explore the world and bring joy to the other kingdoms. All the Zoats cheered this idea, and so in order to determine which Zoats were the funniest they held an ancient choosing ceremony known as Zoat Idol. The elders: Simon Zoatwell, Randy Zoatson and Paula Abdul judged the ceremony, and it took a total of 10 years to narrow down the funniest few. Now all the Zoats needed was a plan of action for spreading their comedy to as many of the other races as possible. It must have been fate when no later than the competition had ended that a Wood Elf elder showed up and invited them to a local bloodbowl tournament. The Zoats had played a bit of bloodbowl against the wood elves before, but found rather than hitting the opponents they could better bring them to their knees with funny Zoat puns. Zoaty McZoatface accepted this gracious invitation, seeing it as the perfect opportunity to show the world that Zoats are more than myths, and that their unique form of comedy is deadly funny. |
