Ebon's thusfar only spawn Bothia, created from a powerful Battlemage that was trying to hunt down Ebon, is the youngest vampire of the Xanic clan, apart from Zod'lek. Do not let her mere three centuries as a vampire fool you though. By many considered to eventually be the most likely successor to Ebon, she was the logical choice to lead the team to greatness.

Trained, and more impressively survived, for decades as an assassin in a world far crueler than the lovely Orymm, she has everything to lead a pack of vampires on a blaze of glory and destruction through these aluring lands.

Beautiful, intelligent and deadly, she is in complete control of herself and her team and ready to expand that control to many others, all in the name of Ebon.

The plethora of sights, sounds and most of all smells this land of Orymm has bombarded her senses with has, however, awoken Bothia's long dead feminine side. The team's bad start has added to all those new emotions and have gotten her into a rather melancholic mood of late. She has even started keeping a diary.

- Round 1: Her first day as a coach didn't go so well, to say the least. She inspired hope for a brief moment in the 2nd half, shattering a vile skeleton's bones, but later got her own jaw broken, had to leave the pitch and leaderless, the vampires suffered a shameful 1-0 defeat to the undead clowns of U'bognthaotur.

- Round 5: First Victory, Hurrah!

Ragothmas is the one in the family nobody talks about. Or to, for that matter. An abomination brought forth from an experiment to turn an orc into a vampire, Ragothmas has mostly been shunned by the other vampires. Though no weaker than most of the others, vampires care deeply for the aesthetic of things. This has led to her spending most of her time with the thralls, who have no choice.

Ebon, finally seeing a way to get her ugly face off the streets of Graveshade, decided she'd be a great addition to the team, both for causing fear and disgust in the opponent, as for herding the thralls, at which she has become quite adept.

Ragothmas sees her inclusion in the team as the greatest honour ever bestowed on her and has been training intensely, trying to understand every aspect of this great game ever since she got the news.

Xaesar Xanic is the oldest Xanic, Ebon's father, former Lord of the clan. Deposed by Ebon through bloody battle a bit over 200 years ago, he spent two centuries being harrowed in a prison cell, unable to accept the mercy his son had bestowed him by letting him unlive. Ebon had shamed him.

Ebon felt it had been necessary in the old world, where their clan's numbers had been dwindling and living things were so scarce they had tried to make vampires out of almost anything.

But after Ebon's great succes of moving to this delicious realm, Xaeasar has made a complete 180. Overjoyed about still being unalive to experience this time in their newfound paradise, he insisted to Ebon that he be allowed to join the Bloodbowl Team, see this world and taste all of its inhabitants.

When Ebon denied on the grounds of him being too old and out of shape from two centuries in chains, he smashed both of Ebon's guards through the wall of his throne room in the blink of an eye and whispered "I insist" into Ebon's ear.

Zod'lek is the obligatory crazy scientist of the Xanic family. Often referred to as "The Sod", Zod'lek is by far the youngest vampire of the clan. He was created from what is believed to have been an inferior specimen by Bothia in her terrible 200's, but was allowed to unlive because of the lack of valid lifeforms to turn in the dark lands they came from. Be that as it may, Zod'lek most certainly has a stroke of genius inside him, but will also often fail at mundane tasks.

All Zod'lek really cares for is experimenting on humans, once in a while discovering ways to create new tastes or make them more easy to control, but far more often than not just wasting heaps of perfectly good thrall life in his folly.

The plenty that Graveshade has bestowed made this all right for a few years, but Ebon has decided it is time for Zod'lek to shape up and be useful to the cause or die for his master's glory. "I'm not sure which would bring me greater pleasure," he had added.

There's nothing like a Ryder's Cove Blonde!

Like all premium Cove Produce, she leaves behind explicitly briny coastal notes, but this one adds a delightful touch of the sweetness of oranges and honey, which evolves towards big, nice notes of lemon and pink grapefruit toward the finish.

Beach bonfires, tobaccosmoke and a savoury note on the nose, these are the things that strike you first as you dig into this beauty. The palate is sweet and smoky, with chilli, ginger and a hint of alcohol. Gently spiced in the lengthy finish, which majors in sweet smoke, with a final citric and medicinal tang, probably left from her days of nursing. Highly recommended.

This Vintage Blood of purebreed Graveshade Red still smells of the original sweet scent that used to shroud all of Gallhain under its delicate vail. Having aged exceptionally well, she brings flavours of burning passion and dried fruit, followed by sweeter notes of daffodil and a touch of liquorice. Extremely long and smoky in the finish, with an exceptionally fine balance of sweetness and passion. This Blood embodies all that used to be the beauty of Gallhain.

Usually the Browns produce run of the mill blood, good enough for an evening with friends, but nothing more than that. Once in a while an exception comes along though, and this 18yo A positive is a noticable one. Lacking the usual sour taste that comes with a Brown, she instead embodies all that makes for a perfect A Positive.

Initially quite cerealy on the nose, sweet, with vanilla and lemon yet significantly phenolic. Passion develops with exposure to air, and there is a profound roasted note. Very sweet and smoothly intense on the palate, where lemon can again be detected, followed by spices and pepper. The finish is smooth, long and passionate, but with a peppery prickle. Another intriguing Graveshade Produce.

Blacks are rare in Graveshade, and most of the ones that are around are of poor quality. Sometimes, however, a gem is found among the blackhaired, and this mature B Negative is definitely such a one. From the second you drink this blood, you will be strikken by its exceptional coldness and the typical oomph we've come to expect from a gppd B. The finish is lengthy, with strong flavours of ice coffee and liquorice, but predominantly bonfire smoke. An excellent addition to the distinguished Graveshade range.

Like a typical AB Positive, this one is quite sweet on the nose. However, she packs that famous Ryder's Cove brine that just flat out attacks your senses from the moment you sink your teeth into her. And then she adds just the slightest whiff of smoky oak in the background. Excellent!

She smells divinely of exotic herbs and dried fruits, with a touch of mint and delicate floral notes. A delight of sherry goodness on the palate, but also a slight soapy edge which is kind of off-setting. Strange.
