Hi today on TNT we are interviewing the mighty ankkh GLT II Finalist and coach of Hifflitik's Runners.

eyeslikethunder: Hi ankkh why did you choose that nick and what does it mean?

ankkh: ankkh is a name that I have been using when playing computer games for about 20 years. It comes from my nickname ankka (from andreas) and it has similarities to the name for the ancient Egyptian symbol, the Ankh.

eyes: So ankkh when you did you start playing bloodbowl?

ankkh: I started playing Blood Bowl as a toddler, almost twenty years ago with the first (?) ruleset. I remember when I played against my brother, and eleven elves were picked apart by dwarves in two or three turns. I later bought the Star Player expansion and the Campaign module, but usually we played by drafting stars creating a "Good" and a "Chaos" team. Those were the days, Morg usually got picked first followed by Varag, Zug or one of the elven throwers. : D

eyes: How does feel to be in the GLT II final?

ankkh: It feels good. I felt that my game has been solid all tournament, and it feels especially good to be the first (?) skaven coach to reach a major final. A shoutout to all skaven coaches out there who know how it is to play with three or four players left on the field in the second half of a game. Still, even playing a skaven team, I feel that my team has been mangled more than expected - I CURSE THEE NUFFLE! - in the finals, especially as I have tried to minimise the damage sustained when being two TDs up.

eyes: What do you think will be the key to victory?

ankkh: Malthor's16 players. Including 5 guard, 2 dp, 4 MB, three players with a ST of 5 or more...and 4 diving tacklers. As for my chances, I won't give away my gameplan just yet. Let's just say that it includes a plethora of rolling 6's and counting on Nuffle to steer me home.

eyes: Are you confident of victory/how do rate your chances?

ankkh: Hmm.. no, not really. However, as I have stated earlier in the GLT II picks thread, I intend to fight to the death. To the death of the last elf or skaven. Makes no difference.

ankkh: As an elaboration of the previous comment I would like to include a part of the pre-game speech that Team Captain - Hifflitik, the Scource of the South - gave to his ten brave rats the night before the Game.

ankkh: "To walk here, through the crack between Heaven and Earth. Your feet firmly planted on both sides of the Gutter. The scent of the morning, the blood of the hunt. Claws, whiskers, tails. And the red smell of victory."

ankkh: As for my chances, I think it's a one-in-a-million chance. However, as anyone who has seen a Disney- or Hollywood-movie knows, the Underdogs should never be counted out before the last whistle.

ankkh: (Actually: Maybe 1/5-1/10)

eyes: What do you feel has been your greatest moment on fumbbl so far?

ankkh: Probably rolling loads on doubles on many of my Gutter Runners. : ) Crazy skills make me happy. The GLT-finals is probably the biggest event for me so far.

eyes: Of all the coaches you have played who do rate as the best?

ankkh: Hmmm.. hard to say. My opponent, Malthor, is close to the top. Many Swedish coaches are very good. Otherwise, CircularLogic, Zatoc, and Sinner I count as some of the best coaches I have played. Hard to say though, as I have played so many. : D. Flix, Csonti and PeteW I haven't played, so it's hard for me to have an opinion about them, even though their results speak for themselves.

eyes: Who is your favourite coach to play?

ankkh: Hmm.. another tough one.. I like the style of Synn and DreadClaw. Fun guys in chat and deadly opponents on the pitch. Moreover I like BillBrasky's polite lfg'ing.

eyes: How do think fumbbl could be improved?

ankkh: Hard to say. I think FUMBBL caters to many different styles of playing, which is good. The addition of Academy is in my opinion a good thing. It's not nice to have someone pop your FUMBBL V*rginity like a Bloody Cherry, and a crushing defeat at the Khemrian hands of C00lDud3-302 will scare off potential players. Otherwise, the implementation of LRB 5.0 would be great, if possible. (Not necessarily in all divisions either)

eyes: What was your favouite moment on fumbbl?

ankkh: Hmm.. Have been many. Maybe the time I took a break from FUMBBL for two months. : ) Since then, I haven't been able to detox my sorry behind from this drug.
