** Milfrods ULTIMATE PICKERS CHALLENGE **
OK, so you think you can take down the champ, dont make me laugh.
But I will let you try to prove it, Iam that type of guy. I will not assume you are a chump and a punk and dont know your stuff, which I will admit is my default position. That is why I make the big bucks and you pan handle your picks for pennies.
*NOTE* This is a huge challenge, be warned.
I will pick every single match for the entire FC. Yes you heard me right, every single pick.
Here is how it is going to work.
1)Make a pick on every match, you probally need to print out the bracket for the FC for record keeping and stop your eyes from going crossways.
2)Make your pick, Iam just going to post my pick for the winner. Way to much work to write it all out.
3)Picks will be made by the Round of the FC.
4)So when I start listing the picks I did, I printed out the FC bracket so Iam going from the top of the page all the way down to page 12.
5)Honor system will be in place. Way to many matches to keep an accurate count for all the pickers who join in. You will keep track of your score every round.
6)Winner is who ever has the highest % of correct picks. The reason we will do it on a % is that real life takes over. Sometimes you miss a match or two because they are going off left and right. Things happen. So once again a honor system is in effect that you do not pick a match that has already been played.
7)You can use what ever methodolligy you like to keep your picks in a order that you can understand. Just be honest with the results and all is good.

**Milfords Update **
So after the first two daya of action Milford has had a rough start.
12 Wins 16 Losses to start out the tournament.
Some of those losses were heartbreakers as Milford had 3 of his "locks" spit the bit in the opening round of the tournament and make the swan song exit.
Atei, Bordeaux and Schlumpen going out in the first round made Milford go on a all night bender on the row to drown his sorrow. |

Day 3 and Milford is starting to heat up now.
Went 10 wins and 7 losses on Saturdays games.
Improves the record to 22-23.
Sunday will get Milford over the top of .500 and off we go. |

** Milfords Picks taking a battering in the opening Week of play **
OH my FUMBBL fans Iam taking a bath at the Book on these opening week matches.
Went in thinking not all the big name teams and coaches would make it out of round 1. So I picked against some of the big names, turns out I was wrong on all of those 4 upset picks and then the games I thought were locks I lost almost all of those.
It is just a bloody mess on my bettors card today. Iam still adding up the wins and losses and it looks like I will be doing good if I come in after the opening round at .500 to salavage the bettors card for the opening week.
Now that we are moving on to round 3 matches I think Iam having a better feel for how the FC is playing out and have adjusted my strategy accordingly. I feel condifent in a dramatic boost in my win % to pull me out of the red by the start of round 4 action.
So many matches that hung in the balance to see my pick go down in OT. Now that is exciting specing a match and having some "skin" in the game so to speak, MY REPUTATION, on the outcome of the match. It does make it more fun, atleast for me. My heart did break when the Bucs went out on the final leap into the endzone and Johnny Blood Bowl came crashing back to earth on fire with his game day jersey ripped off as he crashed 2 inches in front of the end line for the tie to send it to OT. But that is what makes this game so much fun.
Iam up to date on the round 3 match ups and the guys who were in round 1 I have updated there round 2 matches in the first post.
Those teams in round 1 were a absolute bloody mess for me. I only got 2 of 8 matches right. What in da name of NUFFLE happened down there? I hope some guys got carted off to hospital after those matches to make me feel better. At least I was not the only one feeling beat up and beat down after those matches.
*** Side note ***
I have gotten some feed back from the fans and they seem to like Chainsaw using red in his post match reports. They feel Milford needs to catch up with the times and start using color and stuff in his reports.

Iam working out the kinks in my system. Games going left and right and my spreadsheets are all messed up at the moment. Plus Iam going back and forth on the picks and so forth.
I will have it all tidied up in the very near future as we are close to the end of round 1 of action.
And FYI I did settle on picking I Say you Fellows. |
