Yes, but other players could have become knocked also than just the ball carrier. |

It is an immediate turn-over. But it needs to be changed. Tabletop tournaments were already all banning wizard, he won't come back till this rule change. |

You are welcome to play those rules if that is what you want. |
Honestly, i would never play like that in real life but in the golden era of warhammer fantasy battle i have seen worse stuff done with RAW, so i would not be surprised if this interpretation would be enforced. |

Absolutely should not be auto turnover.
When there's reason in the rules (p42) to say that "the start of your turn" is the bit where you're moving the turn counter, and "during your turn" is the bit where you're activating players, it's a legit interpretation to not ruin the game.
Multpile RRs per turn aren't a disaster, you can have Sure Feet and Dodge and Pro already on a 1-turner, fireball is already extremely good, and cancelling out an entire turn with it just makes the entire meta extremely focused on trying to play up 150k so you can win all your games. |

Yeah... no
Page 23 under Turnover, on a list of what counts as a Turnover “If a player on the active team is Knocked Down during their team turn.†|
Does that mean a failed TTM without the ball is a turnover? If so, there goes the snotling bomb.â˜¹ï¸ |

Throw team mate failure to landing is "Fall Over" rather than "Knocked Down" |

While I agree 150k is too cheap for a Wizard - even without any changes - I seldom see people (experienced coaches in particular) using Fireball over Lightning Bolt. |

I always use fireball, the ability to knock down several cage corners or the ball .. it's great for teams like high elves |

I was talking in the context of Blood Bowl 2016.
Was Fireball changed even more in 2020 (besides the whole "your turn is over if your player is knocked down")? |

You've shown why it's good for that purpose. Maybe it's the way your games turn out but there will be times that a low str ball carrier is isolated and a 2+ or 3+ Zap is the better option rather than waiting for a series of 4+ to get an opportunity to hit the ball carrier. |

Quote: | INDUCEMENT: Wizard
0-1 Wizard: You may hire a Wizard to help your team during the match for 150,000 gold pieces.
Once per game, the Wizard is allowed to cast either a fireball spell or a lightning bolt spell. Wizards may only cast spells at the start of their own turn before any player performs an Action OR immediately after their own team's turn has ended even if it ended with a turnover. |
