why care ?
i doubt peole "cherry pick" because they want a high CR, they do it because they want to win.
It is all about having fun, some have fun winning and do not care if it is easy games or not. So let them.
Just should be a rule that prevented them from taking their teams into tournements.
It is hardly fair to build a dark elf team to TR300+ by elfbowling, and then entering major tournements. |

Not sure if you challenged me, but my Norse are never over keen to play a team with 2 Claws in it ... AV7 vs Claw is not a pretty sight.
Not that it matters much ... I played some Rotters last night, and they killed my Minotaur the first game after he got Block! |

Perhaps coaches that get refused games come across badly. Or they simply don't like you.
Soften up your approach, be a bit more friendly... take an interest in the team you want to play once you have established communication... Simply typing: Necro vs WE? isn't good enough ... try more...

On the otherhand bloodly lot of people are offering their dwarves to match the second I put "amazons want a game" offer up...Funny enough concidering dwarves pretty much negate only advantage amazons have...
Which is why I have given up ranked games and play only unranked among people I know are in for fun and not rating improvement. |

Learn the basics, then ask for fair matches.  |

Just like everywhere else, generalizations are to be avoided IMO, like "most high CR coaches are cherrypickers". Some are, some are not.
I know many high CR coaches who will take just about any fair matchup I give them and do it happily. I know several others who will take only the most lopsided matchups.
It's the same in RL: some people do just what it takes to get by, some do more. |

I try to keep my team intact, therefore I avoid teams with much DP, Claw, RSC, MB.
And on the other hand I seldom take thoose skills myself. |

Also, I don't see declining games as Cherry Picking.
People have the right to decline games for any reason, whether it be they don't think it's fun, whether they think you have DP's, Claws, or even if they think the moon is in the wrong phase of it's alignment.
I see cherry picking (if it exists), as coaches who go out of their way to make unfair offers, then seem to get upset when that offer is politely refused. |
