Would you consider moving to a 2/1/0 scoring system in future seasons?
Very tough on us poor Tier 3 teams with the current 3/1/0. It's is fine if you get to pick teams, (as you know what you've got going in). |

Not much difference, but go to 5/2/0 if there's any change, saves on tie-breakers except where teams get the exact same results. Unless you want more tie-breakers, then 2/1/0 should bring them up most seasons.
Code: |
W/D/L - 31 - 21 - 52
--------------------
5/0/0 - 15 - 10 - 25
4/1/0 - 13 - 9 - 22
4/0/1 - 12 - 8 - 20
3/2/0 - 11 - 8 - 19
3/1/1 - 10 - 7 - 17
2/3/0 - 9 - 7 - 16
3/0/2 - 9 - 6 - 15
2/2/1 - 8 - 6 - 14
1/4/0 - 7 - 6 - 13
2/1/2 - 7 - 5 - 12
1/3/1 - 6 - 5 - 11
2/0/3 - 6 - 4 - 10
0/5/0 - 5 - 5 - 10
1/2/2 - 5 - 4 - 9
0/4/1 - 4 - 4 - 8
1/1/3 - 4 - 3 - 7
0/3/2 - 3 - 3 - 6
1/0/4 - 3 - 2 - 5
0/2/3 - 2 - 2 - 4
0/1/4 - 1 - 1 - 2
0/0/5 - 0 - 0 - 0
|
Edit:
Though you could always do something like add 1 point for each perm you're carrying at the end of the season, if you had a 5/2/0 scoring so it didn't dominate. |

Carrying perms is squad management. I don't mind tiebreakers. Where I'm coming from is the dynamite guys see draws as wins a lot of the time. 3 draws is 1 win atm. |

The reasoning behind the win points being that much higher than a draw, is to get people to have the incentive to win.
I'm not a huge fan of the stall it out for a draw, i'd rather see teams take a bit of a risk.
After all a come from behind win is more rewarding than playing safe for the draw. |

I think the position that since we force low-tier teams ties should be half win weight is correct. It actually gives those teams a shot. |

Flings got to the semis. S1 on 3/1/0
Goblins made the Norsican Final on 5/2/0
In theory 2/1/0 may be better for tier 3. But in practise i think things are working alright |

Ramchop. A statician such as yourself should be aware that these teams can perform very well at TV 1000 when they gain their full swag of benefits and opposing teams have not yet levelled up. With season 3 coming and teams breaching the 1500 TV roof soon that WLD ratio will likely plummet. |

I would like to see proof that this actually works. Some interesting stuff has been written about it in soccer applications and the theory doesn't appear to hold. |

If there is to be any change, I'd advocate that Stars be allowed as inducements. But my view may be a touch biased.
I wonder if (without Stars and the big TT cards being available), if it's possible to be in a situation where a big chunk of the inducement cash will go unspent.EDIT: I've looked and such a situation is a looooong way off. |
