It is right - just as it is right to mercilessly foul a team that is being stalled upon.

After all, the only time it is wrong to foul is when it takes players out of position to protect (or menace) the ball or impede the potential progress of the ball. (of course, sometimes it is still right then, but conversation without generalization is very difficult).

When one player is successfully stalling the general condition for fouling every turn to be a good play is usually met.

Depends.

Fouling no skill linos is not going to shorten the stall.

Players lending assists are not pressuring the stall.

An AV9 team may not be at all bothered compared to winning the game.

Foul um

Foul um til they cough up lungs and their eyes bleed. If you are struggling to apply pressure on the ball carrier and have the opportunity to foul. Do it. Do it til they all die! Twisted Evil

I find that targeting a key player can really make an opponent score if he is stalling, especially if the player is stunned and will be fouled next turn. They either have to score and punt you back the ball or risk losing their str4 ag4 thrower. Or they can try and protect him which weakens their defence.

Of course your own situation is important, are you down players and cannot risk losing one to the ref. Do you have a dp? if you do not and your opponent does you are asking to get pounded.

So in answer, yes, but make sure its a worthwhile foul and you can take the losses.

I OBJECT!

Clearly fouling just because someone is stalling is wrong.

Now fouling because there is a prone player - that`s a different thing, but you should make sure, that the foul is worth it, in order not to make a fool out of yourself.

I agree with most of this post
I have however played one or two coaches who ignore chances to score TDs so they can foul or make a bunch extra blocks - and end up losing drawing because of this - but injuring more of my players
Im not really interested in playing these sorts of coaches again, even if that makes me a pansy

I say foul em. Foul all of them. Foul their mothers, fathers brothers and sisters too. Also foul their fans and the ref. In fact foul everyone that you dont like and some of the ones you do like.
