I bought 5 packs, but my collection for Standard is pretty good.
I wouldn't really bother with them myself unless you feel your decks are already strong. To break into Open play is not something even 10 Emilio's is going to really allow you to do. |

So, I'm going really slow with this game, hardly playing quick games but just one or two campaign matches per day. I'm finding those increasingly hard to win in one go. This is of course a good thing (an at least somewhat challenging campaign!) but I was wondering if you guys had (some) trouble finishing the campaign. I've tried to tweak my decks a bit, sometimes adjusting them for specific opponents, but it's no walk in the park. Do I suck, do I need to build better decks or is it meant to be quite difficult? |

Some of the later campaigns are very difficult unless you build very specific decks to beat them.
So it's not just you
The 1st 3 campaigns should be beatable with all factions with a smallish card set. The latter 2 become quite more tricky, and there are some cards which make some of them very very easy, but in general you need to think about just rushing as fast as you can and hoping the AI has a bad draw.
Since you can always count on the AI to do stupid things |

I'm still working on the last three missions in the Five Towers campaign.
Cursed Bond is your friend as the AI is terrible. |

Yes, dark magic makes most of the campaign missions almost trivial. |

Perhaps this is a better place to discuss: what kind of cards should someone with 1250 cards get? I've mostly bought BS2 packs so far, only got one extra hero (Takana). |

With WCs? You should get epic/rares that compliment whatever hero(s) you are currently enjoying.
As far as packs go, I would definately start getting HoN and GB, assuming most of your cards are BS2. |

Well, I just checked and according to my achievements list I only have 213 out of the 300 BS2 cards.
I'm at 46/100 with the Heart of Nightmares set. |

I got myself a Damran for my Kat deck during the wildcard event. It's pretty close to perfect now, although I do like 2 BS Crushers.
I'd probably have hit Champion II by now as that deck is fantastic, but I've playing around with a Shalan bounce deck without Propagandists, which is a terrible idea I've found. |

Shalan bounce sounds fun, but yeah, probably terrible to actually try and win more than half your games with |
