I'd like a better dice system, for example d8 or d10 instead of d6 to represent better various degrees of chance (and to decrease the impact of stat increases on the rolls as well).
The d6 system works quite well without progression, at low TV, but once players are a bit developed even a +1 modifier on a d6 roll is huge.

I wouldn’t play it personally, but for balance sake you should invert the dice number and pow/skulls effects to encourage an even spread of numbers and block dice effects.

Otherwise each player is going to stack the higher beneficial numbers as there is an optimal build of deck.

Basically you don’t want people to have a deck with 8 pows and 8 sixes, but only 2 skulls and 1’s.

Or everyone needs to have the same deck.

Just came up with a new idea, the hexbarrow! It's like a wheelbarrow except for wheels are hexagons instead of round. A complete reinvention!

Will keep y'all posted on how it works out Exclamation

A bit like this guy? Wink

I had a thought that a BB game with cards could be fun, but it wasn't about replacing the dice - was more cards representing skills and re-rolls, stuff like that. Could be fun, but haven't thought about it too much - eats into the playing time here ^-^

If I remember correctly this was already done in about 2005? some created a version of the rules that was not turn based like it is now, it may have been called perpetual Bloodbowl, and it used cards to play, each coach taking one to determine moves etc.. I think it was in the Fanatic magazine after it because an online only publication.

I will try and find a link for you
