Hello fellow Fumbbl'ers!

I saw that there was a Proxy Server program avaiable on SkiJunkies website that Christer had wrote. So I figured I would help those that can't host directly.

I have setup 3 proxy servers and will keep them running 24/7 for now.

Ok, using the Proxy Server....

In the IP slot put in this IP : mccloud.game-host.org
In the port slot put either 8081 or 8082 or 8083.

Make sure you use a proxy name. <--- MANDATORY

Has been tested and does work folks!

Enjoy!

Lets play Blood Bowl folks!

PS : I forgot that little detail. Manual is best way to use my proxy servers.
Both players must start the game manually , and input the exact same info for IP and Port and Proxy name. One needs to be Server and one needs to be Client. These servers are being run on a broadband connection (10mb/s) so hopefully won't be too much of a lag issue for peoples. Also, the servers are located in Oregon, west coast of US. So keep that in mind when looking at ping times.

PPS: For those who can't seem to find a way to launch the JBB client manually, yes you can still launch via the site. Little trickier though, so follow me. Select No Proxy (very important), then put my IP listed above in and the appropriate port # you wish to use. Launch as client or server.
When the JBB client comes up, click the x on login little window in middle of screen. Put a tick in Proxy box and then enter a proxy name. Then click button to bring back up login window and start the game. Hope this helps those that need the help.

It's great to see the community rallying around to help one another... and "they" say we're an unfriendly bunch. Pft! Wink

Is it worth mentioning that you must launch javaBB manually to use these servers, or am I wrong?

Either way great job! Very Happy

Also, a small side note.
I am located on West coast of the US. So keep this in mind when looking at your ping time. I am on a cable internet broadband connection, so should be up most of the time barring Charter Cable doing some kind of maintenance or me needing to reboot system.

If anyone else wants to do what I am doing go to SkiJunkies Website - http://javabbowl.no-ip.org/Articles/Links.html and download the small java program Christer wrote for Proxy Server. Do keep in mind that you will need to open the appropriate port(s) on your router if you use a router. Smile

People can also give my home box a go:
- Server: laviak.ath.cx
- Port: 8082
It is located in Australia.

I haven't actually had anyone test it yet, so if it doesn't work, it's quite possible I messed up the configuration Razz
