I've seen lots of players type Activate! on the blackbox channel...

why not make this a command for Bowlbot, similar to bblfg, which "activates" all your [B] teams...

the obvious variation, Activate! <name>

This would also help make it a bit more transparent regarding how many coaches have signed up for the round in advance (not necessarily which teams)

Just a idea, what do you guys think?

Poll option 5 occurred to me while writing this up, so added as a possible variation

i know what they are doing, but im thinking in the terms of creating an activate! command as a constructive improvement to the division Smile

Part of the blackbox non-picking system is that you don`t know who has activated and which teams. Using the public command defeats this purpose.

I don`t see any advantage from such an implementation.

No, can be abused too easily. Same with the bblfg command, but a no show in blackbox means the same as a disconnection in Ranked.

what hes saying is many of us type /me ACTIVATES with gusto. Or some such basically informing people we are in then sometimes we ask for a call off of how many coaches r in each person shouts out 1 2 3 etc this would negate the need for each of these. People could still sneak in by going direct to the site i think its a good feature especially as it will promote the activation of all teams rather than picking a few.

I usually activates all my teams anyway, but I can see how it goes against the idea of black box. If you can see who activates and with what team, you can almost cherrypick.

I think it would be nice if *activated* tells you how many coaches have activated (not who or which teams). I sometimes think about activating but skip it for various reasons but if I could see that five coaches had activated I might feel more inclined to join in. Don't know if it will really change anything but at the very least it would be a fun command.

BowlBot could announce the amount of activations as it changes during the activation perioid.

If you could see how many people had currently activated, and it was low, would it discourage you from activating? Because if it would, then it might actually result in less people activating than before.

For example, 4 people see that only 2 people have activated - so they don't bother.

make it a "hidden feature" so only the coach activating could see that he has activated the specific bb team he wanted to, that way the rest would still have no clue to who is entering.
