The White Isle Star Bowl returns!

25/26 June 2011

We had 40 coaches last year and it was a cracking success. Fun was had by all. Soon I will post some pics of the marvellous chaos team that spub has been converting and painting for the winner.

This year we are shunning GW and moving 20 mins north to the Eye of the Storm - Maelstrom Games' new gaming venue. They are also offering us 15% off their shop prices!

Spubbbba will again be painting a team of the winner's choice, and the freebie this year is a limited edition set of White Isle Block Dice. Woo!

The basic idea gives you points to spend on skill depending on the race you pick. One player must be tooled up with a minimum of 5 points to create your own superstar and the rest can be spent as you wish.

How does one go about organizing a Blood Bowl Tournament?

There are quite a few touries int he US, although I guess travelling time becomes quite an issue.
Firstly, you want to get on talkfantasyfootball.org, then try to go to a few tournaments first. You can see them here:

Hmmm - not too many coming up in USA at the moment. I'd recommend getting to know other members of the community a bit first before starting a tourney yourself.

Last year was my first tournament anywhere. It was great fun, great to meet some of the guys I only know otherwise from Fumbbl I would recomend it to you all. Shame you could not move it further south though.

Can a regular star (Fling, Gobbo, Ogre) be the teams superstar if you give him atleast 5 skill points? Blodging ag4 no loner Morg. Would be nice!

Edit: I would have been intersted, since I now live in the UK. But the date is really bad. Midsummer eve weekend...

Star players may be given skills up to their normal skill limit - i.e. they may not be given skills.

Much more likely that I will make it this year, just need to paint a team now :/

Oh and get the wife to agree of course seeing as I spend far too much time away with work as it is.
