Happy sometimes like to invest some money of the Team Treasury to buy a Wiz. I guess that was the Intention in the prediction.

Well, maybe I will have to as well in that case. Probably the only way to get rid of Woodson!! But we will see what happens.

I'll go with the Underdog... Khemri win 2-1, maybe in overtime, but that's just for the tension.

We're almost there, Superbowl XIII is about to start in just some minutes from now. Time to look at the way these two teams had to go to get here.
And these ways couldn't be more different:

On the one hand, there are the Green Ball Attackers, who as always dominated there division and only had to bow before Carolina by a smallest margin thinkable.

On the other hand, we have a fairly new squad from New York, which barely anyone had on the board when this season started. Okay, they have a superb defensive line with Michael Bargen, Jack Mewhort, D'Brickashaw Ferguson and Jevon Kearse, and these outstanding four make a huge difference to other Khemri squads and some might say, the NBFL needs to adapt to new Khemri doping methods (ever tried to get an urine sample from a TG?), but hey, until now it all seems 100% legal. At least this was the only comment given by an NBFL official caught on his way to the nearest bank with two huge, strangely looking suitcases... Did we mention those had the New Tomb logo on'em?

Anyway, both teams are where they are and we are looking forward for an interesting, if not breath taking final of this season XIII...

... Okay, okay, just got some news from the control room. Green Bay is a bit late, so we'll take a moment to look at both team's superstars that could make the difference in this mother of all matches.

Starting with the Underdogs from New York, we already talked about their defensive line. Playing against their four TG's must feel like storming the beachside of the Normandie with nothing more but a Swiss Army Knife and some holy prayers on your lips. But the real superstar of this squad is without any doubt Eric Metcalf, who already enjoyed his retirement when he was reactivated by the New York squad. Unfortunately, he got an ugly hit in the last game, that not only will see no Metcalf-Action in the Superbowl, but will once again send him to early retirement (as we were told). Now all the pressure lies on second Quarterback Joe Namath's shoulders, a solid choice for a back-up, but maybe not big enough to follow Metcalf as a superbowl replacement.

One the other side of the Line of Scrimmage, there is Green Ball's Charles Woodson, not only a superstar but a true legend. He already won the superbowl X with Green Ball, and he's hungry for another ring. 1660 rush yards, 50 passes and 75 touchdowns are just the most remarkable stats of this player. He's fast, he's agile, and whenever one of those hard hitting, drug using psychopaths other teams employ heads for him... he's already one, two, three leaps away. It will be New York first (and maybe only) target to get control of this leaping bast...frog.

Those are the stars, which one will do the better job? We (hopefully) soon will know when Superbowl XIII is about to start.

Heck of a game DrPoods. That first half was as close as they come. And the second half would have gone much better if all that blocking at turned out some cas. I thought you punished me with a scrum quite well after woodson went all soft.

Pittsburgh Pirates vs. Arizona Sinners
Papajeano88: Arizona and Pittsburg live! NBFL action, kickoff shortly!

A very strong experienced Arizona squad takes the field against the Pirates, whom as always are showcasing lead rusher "The Anvil" Steve Gronski
The Sinners look to play a fast paced game against the much more physically impressive Pirates, who will win out?

Here comes the kick!
Some unruly fans take aim at both Rat Ogre center John Abraham and "Madman" Joe Madsen, rocks go flying!
And we're underway here at Sinner Stadium!

Strong push up the right hand side, three lead blockers pushing their way downfield as manning moves to secure the ball.
Oh! And Leon Hall trips on his route, lets see if the Pirates can take advantage of the misstep.

DE Walker comes over to cover the men breaking downfield, the Pirates are playing some strong defense right now, the Sinners speed ever a factor though.
Big John with a solid hit up the middle busts open a gap!
Mannings got the ball! Looks downfield and completes a short pass up the right side to Taylor!

He could be! He might be!
OH!
Taylor trips up at the 5 and he's down!
Typical Sinner sell-job!
You'd think he was playing in some elf league!

The Pirates now to turn the momentum off the Taylor misstep Big Ben securing the ball. Jeeze you'd think the rats are playing in flip flops the way they've been stumbling so far!

Big Abe moves over to block up the left side as the sinners scramble to contain the pain train that is the Anvil. Oh! A clear cheap shot to Chris Hoke by DE Calais Campbell, which goes uncalled!

AND A HUGE HIT BY JACK WALKER LAYS OUT BIG ABE!!!
Sinner medical staff rush the field, Abe doesn't look to be breathing... and Big Bens off to the races!!
Breaking to the outside as the Anvil barrels into the Sinner line!
We'll have a medical update on John Abraham as soon as we have it, he took one hellacious hit!

Gunther Steiner rushes to keep up with Big Ben, but the Sinners are struggling to get some seperation
Ben's got just Steiner to beat and he's gone! Can he shed the dead weight!

and he does! Ben's bumbling and stumbling up the side lines with no one in sight!
Leon Hall looks to close in, but he doesn't seem to have the angle...
Taylor's trip just before the goal line looks like it going to give the Pirates an early lead!
Big Ben trucks on into the end zone, a 95 yard TD run!
with about 3 minutes left to go in the half, it's 1-0 Pirates!

A report from the Arizona sidelines, John Abraham has been resurrected by medical professionals... AND HE'S CHECKING BACK INTO THE GAME!!
MY LORD MAN!

A highhhhhhh booming kick that Eli moves to field...

and he bobbles it!

Taylor streaks down-field as Manning struggles to grab hold of the bouncing ball, if he can secure it, the Sinners have a shot to score before the half!
He's got options, Hall gets open spread right, with Taylor deep left
Eli scrambles left with good protection from the line, can he get the ball off before pressure punches through!

Hall takes a hit, leaving only Taylor as a target, but he's covered well by Jack Walker.
The Pirates really came to play today, they've got a solid pass defense and seem to be taking it to the Sinners

Manning rushes forward and gets the pass off to Taylor, a short dumper! Taylor jukes Walker... and it takes it to the houseeeee!!!

TOUCHDOWN SINNERS!!!

Stepfan Taylor makes up for his blunder and ties the game up at 1 all on a quick minute and a half drive!

The Sinners line up in their signature upside down cross defense and steady to kick back to the Pirates!
A deeeeeeeep kick that lands in the end zone, the Pirates are gonna have to secure it.
That sort of kick is why the Sinner's Jay feely demands all 70k of his salary

A solid surge by the Pirate line, do they have the passing game to get the ball up field quickly enough though? Only a minute left on the clock.
Bullroarer does have a solid arm though, if anyone can get the pass off its him.
The rats pull back into prevent defense, it's a hail nuffle play all the way!

and the Pirates never do manage to get the play off, time ticks down to zero.
We head into the half tied at a score a piece, 1-1.

Pirates to receive the second half kick, lets see if they can make something of this offensive possession, their score come off a defensive stand.

Bullroarer back to recieve the kick that goes booming out of the back of the end zone, Big Ben to start with the ball.

A big hit leaves Ta'amu hurt and the Pirates are driving the Sinner line back.
A couple tacklers mark up Ben, whom isn't the most agile ball carrier, lets see if he can stiff arm his way through.

Feely goes for a cheap shot, this time right in front of the lead official, and he's been ejected!
I knew he didn't just use that boot for kicking balls...
Or well... I suppose he did, just not a football!

The numbers advantage is starting to mount for the pirates, Ben's been freed up from the scrum and has a hole up the middle.
He'll have just Brian Leonard to beat...!

Fitzgerald makes the play from behind!!

Blockers lost track of him and he ran his way back into the play!! Ben goes down and the ball pops loose! What a play by Larry Fitzgerald to bring down Big Ben from behind.

Can they get a hold of the ball now... that is the question.
Fitzy makes to grab ahold of it and is LEVELED by the "Anvil" Gronski, knocking him out cold!

Big Ben regains his feet and the ball, once again the situation becomes dire for the Sinners.

The flip flops come into play again!!!
Brian Leonard feebly trips into a block against Ben, pays for it with a crushing hit and..

Ben is gone!!
He's waltzing it in, at the fifteen
He's making sure to showboat it, laughing at the Sinner's feeble attempts to catch him..
I think this may do it folks, Ben's simply standing there, watching the clock tick down as the Pirates simply pummel the remaining rats into the dust.

Ben steps it in with 30 seconds remaining, 2-1 Pirates and it's going to take a miracle for the Sinners to tie this one out.

The Pirates line up in the prevent defense, the Sinners meanwhile, line up in an all out hail nuffle setup.

WHATS THIS!!!

It seems the offcials have caught a Pirates team member with a comically oversized vat of grease on the sideline!
Apparently he's applied it to all of the Sinners cleats!!

...But it doesn't look like thats gonna make a difference! It's a broken play on the Sinners part!
Seems Mathieu forgot the play call!
and time ticks down to zeros!!

The Pittsburgh Pirates pick up a 2-1 victory over the Arizona Sinners in a thrilling game!

The final line for todays game, played in front of a crowd of 29,000 fans at Sinner Stadium, the Pittsburgh Pirates 2, the Arizona Sinners 1.

and we give our PJ's "Player of the Game" honors to BIG BEN ROTHLISBULLER III, for his two TD, 40 square rushing performance!

Thanks for tuning in, we'll see you next time on NBFL Primetime, I'm PJ, signing off!

PJ... if you do that for one game a week, I may add a 33rd team to the league and let you start a franchise in L.A. Wink

Great read. I read it live, and still went back and re-read it. Wish there was a recap of the Dallas / Hearthstone game like that. Smile
