HERE YOU ARE the post match entry for Foul Peak Crawlers vs Black Water Bullfrogs
Match report
50k inducement for slann
Magic card Explosive Runes
I had 4 blodgers and one blockers, against only one block/tackle and a blocker. I hoped this was enought to controll the pitch better than my opponent, and it worked
FIRST HALF
The half started very well for slann, that put ko a line and stunned another two in the first blocks. Managed to cover the ball and score in turn 2 with a good pass to a line.
Rats replied with a standard side attack and score in 2 turns (2 go for it).
The next drive was the first key of the match. A failed block on the LOS let the gutters press very deep the designed picker, forced to try a desperate pass that failed. Two 1d blocks (with block against unskilled) was enought to remove TZ from the ball and the intended reciver. A gutter recovered the ball, handover, and TD
The last drive was the second match key. The slann tried to quick attack the side, because the lack of time to do it more controlled. Thanks to a couple of KO that made the slann team slim, a gutter runner made one of his "magic", with a +2 dodge, 2+ dodge, 2+ dodge, go for it, 1d block (block against unskilled), ball on the ground, recovered by the blitzer himself. No way for the slan to score again. Half end 2-1 for rats and 3-0 casualities always for rats
SECOND HALF
The lack of player for slann looked like to be enought for an easy win. The rats again managed an easy side attack and score, even easier because only 8 players were to block. The slann were desperate, with few players, thus deployed without any concearn about blitz, and luckly for them none happened. The managed a good leaping Touch down and again rats only one TD ahead (3-2). Rats repeated the usual attack manouver, but this time the slann blitzer managed to blitz and put down the ball handler, with the ball that scattered in a single tackle zone. The catcher tried to leap and recover, but failed, and the rats went for the 4-2. Last drive, rats played bad in last turn, leaving a too easy handover for the TD. I hope this TD won't make the difference in the final placing, or I'll regret it for a long time.

In the end, I were a bit more lucky than my opponent. But as anyone that play BB know, when you have a lot of unskilled players to do things, rerolls end quickly and when rerolls end and you still have to make unskilled players do things, things start to go bad.

Now the Kislev conference final brawl will start! Five teams can aim for the first two positions and one more team can still try to go for the Playoff Tournament. Only 2 teams on 8 are now really out of it and surely play the Kislev Conference in Season 10

It's that time of the season again - and the Kislev Conference are the first division to enter the final round of Season IX. Here is the official word on what everyone needs in their last league game. As always, it's a close one, with most teams still with something to play for!

Kislev Conference

Sitting at the top of the Conference are the Western Oblast Raiders Emsk. Nothing is really guaranteed for any of the top teams, but a win or a draw means they will at least make the promotion playoffs. To win the Conference, they need to better the results in the other games involving 6 point teams - and that probably means winning. Their tie-breaker score (+6.5) means they are the most likely winner of the Conference, if they can get that final win.

Below them are the Doom Glade Swamp-Risers. Again, a win or a draw guarantees them at least a playoff spot. They have the second best tie-breaker score (+5), and can still win the Conference if they win their final game and either the Raiders draw/lose, or if they can improve their tie-breaker by 2 points (ie. score 2 more TDs than the Raiders, or cause more casualties). Certainly not an impossible task. A small loss would probably keep them safe, but a big one might see them slip into 5th place.

It is a very similar story for the Doom Glades Rangers, who are currently in 3rd with a tie-breaker of +2.5. To get automatic promotion, they need to win and hope that one of either the Raiders or the Risers slip up. Again, a draw keeps them in the playoffs (or, if the other two teams above them lose, would be enough for an automatic promotion spot (and even maybe 1st place)). A big loss might see them fall to 5th.

The last playoff team at the moment is the Foul Peak Crawlers, who face the Raiders. A win guarantees at least a chance of promotion, and if one of either the Risers or the Rangers lose their game, it would be enough to get automatic promotion. If all three "R" teams lose, the Crawlers can win the division! A draw would probably be enough for the playoff spot (although it would certainly not be guaranteed), while a loss would leave them vulnerable to being overtaken by the Hammers.

Speaking of the Orgrimmar Hammers, while they can technically sneak in to the automatic promotion spots with a big win, their best chance is really through the play-offs. They can achieve this with a win and a Crawlers loss, or a draw and a big Crawlers loss, or a big win and a Crawlers draw. But really, they need to win and then cheer on the Raiders!

The Karak Raziak Ironclads also have a slim chance of making the play-offs. First of all, they need to win big and inflict some pain on the goblins to improve their tiebreaker from -0.5. Then they need both the Crawlers and the Hammers to lose. They need to make up a +2.5 tie-breaker swing on the Crawlers, which they could do with a 2-0 win and a 0-1 Crawlers loss, for example. Still certainly possible.

Below them, and playing for pride, are the Black Water Bullfrogs. They can throw a spanner in the works by beating the Rangers, but they can no longer qualify for the playoffs themselves. I'm sure other teams will be cheering them on though!

And finally, Der Green Tide Yoof, who can also not make the playoffs, but can do the Crawlers and the Hammers a favour by holding the Ironclads to a draw (or beating them).

Best of luck to all the teams in the final round! But remember, if there are teams dropping out further up the league, more teams might be promoted than predicted, so it is always worth getting a win in your final game!

(And also, remember that the tie-breaker scores displayed are not quite right, as the casualty differences should be halved)

If all the other teams above you mysteriously disappeared I suppose the League Committee would have no choice but to promote Der Green Tide Yoof as Kislev Champions, pending an investigation into the disappearances, of course.

But I'm sure if the Yoof were to donate their winnings back to the Committee, we could find a way to bury the investigation...

Final Standings in the Kislev Conference

The first conference to finish (well ahead of schedule) are Kislev - well done to everyone for getting all their games played! Here is how it finished:

Winning the conference were the Doom Glades Rangers - they will be going up, and will get to choose which conference to enter next season. They will be joined in automatic promotion by second placed Western Oblast Raiders Emsk. Congratulations to both teams.

Finishing in the playoff positions were the Doom Glade Swamp Risers (3rd) and Foul Peak Crawlers (4th). While the rest of the Conference takes part in the Kislev Plate, they will be in the playoffs with the 9th placed teams from Albion & Bretonnia.

The remaining teams finished as follows:
5th: Orgrimmar Hammers
6th: Karak Raziak Ironclads
7th: Black Water Bullfrogs
8th: Der Green Tide Yoof

They'll be in the Kislev Plate, and will probably stay in Kislev next season. If we have dropouts in the main divisions, we may promote a few more teams - we'll have to see how it goes.

Well done for a great Kislev season!

Amazing job, Kislevites! Giving the big boys a lesson in how to get your games played.

Gratz to the Rangers and see you on the pitch next season.

THIS LINK is for the fluff post match meeting between the rats

Foul Peak Crawlers vs Western Oblast Raiders Emsk, Skaven vs Humans

This was a key match for the conference. The two teams were playing for the 2nd place of the conference (Skaven needed a win, Humans a tie) and the Orcs were waiting for this match too, because if the skaven lose or tie with 6 or more casualities, the greenskins gained the last place for the playoff

This is a more "conventional" report
Match report
50k inducement for humans
1 bloodweiser babe
FIRST HALF
The human coach started with what I consider a mistake: making the second block of the drive with the Ogre, before covering the ball. A double skull punished him. The rats pressured very high with the gutters, putting two TZ on the thrower, forcing a desperate pickup with the catcher, that failed. It was a joke for the AG5 Gutter to recover the ball directly in the end zone.
Next drive it was a Perfect Defence: all seems to announce a one dice side match. The humans managed to recover the ball and score, also because a bad positioning by the Skavens
Here the unluck of humans looked to end. The Rat Ogre failed his blitz wild animal roll, then the humans managed a pow without tackle on a blodger, ball scatter out of the pitch and was thrown near humans, a line recovered the ball, resisted an 1d wrestle block and, to escape the gutter runners pressure, managed a great 5+ pass (1-2 fumble) 3+ catch. The Rat Ogre pushed only with his 3d block and then failed the go for it in the second frenzy block. The blitzer with the ball finally tripped in the end zone going for it. A gutter recoverd, handoff to another gutter that fumbled the 2+ pass for the TD
Half ended 1-1
SECOND HALF
The Rats started with some time wasting positioning, then another failed wild animal blitz forced a risky side attack, that finally ended with a reroll used to dodge to the endzone.
The humans side attacked the skaven, that were able to place an 1d block on the ball carrier, but the blitzer failed to go for it, reroll, fail again, and the humans scored for the 2-2 in turn 7
The one turn attempt was difficult, with the MA10 sprint gutter, that still lack the Leap or Sure Feet skill, but still doable... but I missclicked and selected foul instead of pass with the thrower, and the game ended there

It has been a very nice match, with never enough "space" for fouling or "farm spp". Every action looked like to be always a key play, with both the teams full in the game from start to end
The two big guys did nearly nothing, expecially the Rat Ogre, that failed half the Wild Animal blitzes rolls, and the few that went good ended in pushes or failed go for it. But when you have a frenzy wild animal, you know in advance that can be match changers or a waste of time... This match he was a waste of time and blitzes

The Humans gained the second place in the conference, while the rats, after a bad start (first match lost, second match a tie) managed to reach the fourth place and qualify for the playoff

Albion are the second conference to finish the penultimate round, so it's time for the traditional run through of the final round possibilities...

Albion Conference

The Elves of Albion are in the strongest position going into the final round, and are the only team guaranteed entry to the Challenge Cup. A win obviously wins them the league title (and a bye into the second round of the Cup), but a draw might be enough if the Expats fail to win their game. A loss would probably mean 2nd or 3rd place.

The New Bretonnia Expatriates can guarantee their place in the Cup with a draw. They can also win the league with a win (combined with an Elves loss or draw) or a draw (if the Elves lose and nobody below them overtakes their tiebreaker score). A loss would probably see them slip out of the Cup spots, unless the Avalanches-Magpies game ends in a draw.

Their opponents are the 3rd placed Diseased Wasters, one of three teams on 5 points but with an impressive tiebreaker score of 8. A win against the Expats means they'll be in the Cup, plus it could mean they win the conference if the Elves also lose their game. A draw would leave them vulnerable: they'd have to hope for the two other 5 point teams to draw as well, and that their tie-breaker score would carry them through. A loss and they are definitely out of the Cup.

The Apuccini Avalanches and the Marienburg Magpies are the two other 5 point teams, and they face each other in the final round. A win for either team guarantees them entry into the Cup, no matter what else happens, and they can still technically both win the league if they win by enough touchdowns and hope the Elves lose and the Expats draw at most. A draw would benefit the Avalanches, but would only be enough if the Wasters lose and the Elves win their games. A loss for either team means they are out of the Cup places.

Castle Drachenfels are playing the league leaders in their final game, and although they can do other teams favours, they would need a serious combination of events to go their way to sneak into 3rd. First, they'd need to win by a few touchdowns. They'd need the Wasters to lose, and the Avalanche - Magpies game to end in a draw. Any other set of results would probably end up with Drachenfels in the Inter-Conference Shield.

The Arkhan Faraohs are in a similar position, but with even more eventualities required. They need everything Drachenfels need, plus they need Drachenfels to lose (or draw) their game. Not impossible, but it looks like the Faraohs will probably feature in the Shield.

The Gotland Gorers are the first team that can't technically make the Cup, and are also one of three teams that could drop into the playoff spot. A draw keeps them safe, but a loss combined with an Infected win would see them slip into 9th and the relegation playoffs.

Conversely, the Turov's Infected need to win and hope the Gorers lose to climb out of 9th place. A draw would guarantee them a playoff spot, while a loss would mean they would finish last and would be automatically relegated.

Hoping to take their place are the Nidhoggstad Icedragons, who are currently sitting at the bottom of the league. To avoid automatic relegation, they need a win in the final round - nothing else will do. A win would be enough to pull them out of last place and into the relegation playoffs.

Good luck to all the teams involved, whatever you are aiming for!

The final Bretonnia Round 4 game, due to be played this evening, affects more than just the Bretonnia Conference. It could also decide who wins the Giant Killer Award this season.

The only challengers for the title, the Wasteland Vagabonds, need 250 points from their final game to overtake current leaders the Doom Glade Swamp-Risers. To do this, they probably need to beat the Barak Varr Goldlords in their final game - a fixture that is likely to happen if the Scalded Delta Dogz win or draw tonight. However, if Frostheim United win their game, the Vagabonds are likely to be drawn against the Scalded Delta Dogz instead, who are not worth enough points for the Vagabonds.

The Bretonnian fourth round has now been finished, and it's time to look ahead to all the possible outcomes in the final round. Like in Albion, one team is already guaranteed a spot in the Cup (and it's another elven team), but there is plenty of competition for the other places.

Bretonnia Conference

Athel Loren BBoDT are the only confirmed Bretonnian team going to the Challenge Cup, but they are also in prime position to win the conference after four wins so far this season. A draw or a win guarantees them 1st place. A loss could still see them finish top, but it would need to be a loss by only one touchdown and taking no (net) casualties - and they're facing chaos dwarves.

Their opponents are second placed Frostheim United. They can win the conference if they beat BBoDT in the last game, but they need to improve their tiebreaker score in the process (currently 3.5). If they can cause enough casualties, a 1-0 win might be enough. A draw would be enough to guarantee them a place in the Challenge Cup, while a loss would leave them extremely vulnerable to the five (5!) teams all on 4 points below them.

Sitting just above the pack of five are the Nilfheim Lumberjacks. They have a real heavyweight battle in the final round against the Goldlords, and they need to win to guarantee a place in the Cup. A draw would leave them looking vulnerable on 6 points, while a loss would mean they were definitely out of the Cup spots.

Current leaders of the 4-point gang are the Barak Varr Goldlords. The formula for all of these 4 point teams is going to be fairly similar, but the Goldlords have a slight advantage in their superior tie-breaker score (5). To get into the Cup, though, they need to win (nothing else will be enough), and hope that they have a better tie-breaker score than the other winners from the teams below them. Frostheim United losing would help them out, and would probably see them take 2nd place.

The rest of the four pointers are the Scalded Delta Dogz (tie-breaker score of 1.5), the Wasteland Vagabonds (1), the Serpent Coast Scavengers (-3.5), and Palinam Diadochi (-4.5). They are all playing each other, and only two at most of them can get into the Cup (although in reality it is probably only one of them that can). So, first of all, if the Lumberjacks and Frostheim United both win their games, all of these teams are eliminated. Next, they all need to win to stand a chance. Then, they need to make sure their tie-breaker score is better than the other teams that finish with 6 points - and there are likely to be a lot of them. The Dogz and the Vagabonds are the best placed, with the Scavengers and Diadochi needing a big turnaround to have a real chance. All of them would probably prefer the Lumberjacks and Goldlords to draw, so that the Lumberjacks remain in 3rd place but with a vulnerable tie-breaker score of around 0 (depending on casualties).

Basically, it is complicated - but remember that the tie-breaker scores shown on the tournament page aren't correct, so don't take anything for granted!

Finally, the two relegation spots are already confirmed, as the Remnants of Kriegfeld took an early holiday, and probably won't be back in time for the end of the round, meaning they will finish last (in the automatic relegation spot), and Malice of Karond Kar will get a forfeit win, confirming their place in the relegation playoffs.
