meh.. I forgot to apply to the main tournament. Was kinda hoping there would be a reminder PM somehow. Sad
I assume it's too late now to get that filler spot that's still there, is it? Rolling Eyes

I was even online during the draw. A short reminder would have been highly appreciated. Ah well, BB coaches and self-responsibility just don't match. Confused

Poor Jokaero. He is Swiss, you cant expect him to be that fast Wink.

Racial breakdown are 4 Forest Gobbos, 3 Chaos Flings, 3 Squigs as well as 1 of Skink, Gnome, Cheater, Pro Fling and Pygmie.
Looks like a typical composition.

Only one team went 4-0 in the swiss... that coach must be pro as heck!

Any reason why there are 4 rounds? 3 would give a clear group winner more often surely?

How about the three teams in our group that were 1/2/0 after three rounds? With ties having an odd number of rounds matter little but having more rounds does.

You've been on this rodeo before, Jokaero...you know how these tourney applications work :-p...

and sadly, the filler spot is not up for grabs...the lucky coach who received the bye has already been moved to the second round, as per functionality of the bye system...

Well...given that out of 9 brackets, there were 9 clear group winners....i'm not sure how "more often" you can get?

Sure, I know it's my fault. No worries. I'm just saying that a quick messages next time wouldn't hurt. Smile Also, as Markusen pointed out, it wasn't even clear until the end who will make it to the draw.

"A quick message" for one person is easy...."a quick message" for every coach that could potentially be eligible ends up being over an hour of research and calculations, to make sure I get everyone...it ain't happening Razz

General rule of thumb....if you think you are eligible for the finals, you should apply...we don't punish people for applying to the group if they aren't eligible, unless you're already on a ban list...if that's the case, you shouldn't be apping in the first place Wink
