First - yeah we know it's unnecessary, but i when i browse through the games which are played atm, i'll take it as a good hint to spec a 'good' game.

So i came across some (imho) strange legends.
a well know example is Emphasy
fumbbl.com/~Emphasy
who is currently although should be a legend.

or contrary

there seems to be something off...

CR broken?
Answer: No, but it's over-rated.

Remember that CR is only a guide to the likelihood of a coach winning their next game. Not of overall skill over a long period. As such, someone using a team like this in a lot of their recent games is likely to win a lot and hence do exactly what the team name suggests.

It's not so much that CR is broken, more that people forget or misconstrue what it really represents.

It is broken.

As a measure of actual coaching ability.

As a measure of e-peen?

Probably works ok.

Yeah, they don't seem right.

You should not have legend status with a CR of 152.....

I don't think that is what he means.

One of those legends has CR 163 whereas coaches with CR higher than that are not legends. (Me Wink )

There is probably a post from Christer somewhere that tells hows it works.

No, it wasn't changed. That's what it has always been.

A Legend with 35% win ratio and CR-152. Yeah something isn't working properly there.

Although, the 164 CR coach could possibly have beaten a couple of high CR opponents and shot up massively in CR due to that, so low win% doesn't really matter.

The other one is a puzzle though.

I've noticed you need to go above a certain mark and stay there for a few games to get legend status. Getting the points is one thing but you have to earn the status.
That's why some legend coaches can have a lower cr than superstars, and visa-versa.

I still wish CR would just go away... at least from public view, if it is used in matchmaking somewhere, fine, just hide it.

But keep the win rate% please.

Unless I completely misunderstand the way it is calculated, it reflects the outcome of your last matches. If you managed to beat three legend/high CR coaches in a row, your rating goes up strongly. If you are a legend coach and lose four games in a row to an emerging star, it drops down dramatically.

Seems fair, no? Otherwise people with a flat learning curve could never improve their rating, if all the last 1000 games were taken in account. That's what win % is good for.

I think CR should be called "Form"
