Because he already has a pomber.

Because a pomber with out tackle is much less interesting.

Because this guy lying down intentionally is going to get splatted.

Still, not like PO isn't strong. It's just not as strong on this guy as something else.

OK, sorry for the minor necro. Hardspike doubled again at Super Star.

This is probably his last skill, unless he makes it to Legend, which he might but you never know.

Dodge or Tackle?

Dodge is so tempting. 6 4 3 8 Blodge MB Guard is a helluva cog.

But ... I only have 2 Tackle and it would be nice to have a 2nd MB/Tackle player.

Dodge.

Given the team I would not pass up the chance of an ST4 blodge/guard, even if it doesn't make "full use" of MB. It also makes it less likely he's on the ground.

Stand firm or Sidestep also worth considering to use the double, but would take dodge.

Thanks for the reply, c9805222. I think I'm taking Dodge or Tackle. Leaning Dodge, but not at all sure still. One Dodge just attracts Tackle players, and as is people tend to target him, but it's so powerful against random hits.

In related news, got another skill-up that game, rookie lino 6+4. Normally I'd take the +MA, but right now I only have 5 Block and 2 Tackle (and 11 men) after a rash of deaths and retirements. Should I take the MA, or give him Block with Tackle in mind?

Fresh team link. After hiring the Journeyman, my TV will be about 1420k-1440k.

Take the +MA I think, you have one other 1spp from 6spp and currently nobody with a movement increase. 6->7ma is huge.

The question then though is does that potential TV increase impact your choice on Evander?

The 1 skill I might give up? Nah. That doesn't impact my choice.
The time it will take me to get a third Tackle? Yeah. I play a lot of elves, rats, lizards and stuff.

My plan, in case Hardspike died, retired, doubled, or got +ST or +AG before he could get Tackle, was to spam Block and be ready to take another Tackle at a moment's notice. But then all my Block guys died, including my main blitzer.
